What should I do if my baby has bloating?

Bloating is a symptom that may occur at many ages. Babies are more prone to bloating than adults. Babies' bloating is closely related to their eating habits. When bloating occurs, parents should also pay attention to care. Massage is one way to relieve your baby's gas.

1. Abdominal massage. One is to simply apply some pressure to the abdomen. For example, when the baby is awake, try to let him lie on his stomach, or when the baby is lying flat, hold the baby's calves and let him bend his knees, with his knees against his lower abdomen. After a few times, the baby will fart and will feel much more relaxed immediately. Another massage method is that before the baby goes to sleep, the mother can use the heel of her hand to gently rub the baby's belly in a clockwise direction for a few circles, which can quickly relieve bloating.

2. When the baby has bloating, the mother can soak a towel in warm water, wring it dry (not too hot), and apply it to the baby's belly button for 5 minutes. After the towel becomes cool, soak it in warm water again and apply it again. This can help the baby's intestinal peristalsis and quickly relieve the baby's bloating.

3. When the baby has bloating, you can feed him a small amount of glucose water. Glucose water can stimulate gastrointestinal motility, but the concentration should not be too high so as not to destroy the baby's taste. For babies who have entered the stage of complementary feeding, the vegetables can be mashed or minced to allow the baby to absorb the fiber in the vegetables and replenish water, which can promote intestinal peristalsis and reduce bloating. When bloating is severe, you can take some auxiliary medicines to eliminate bloating with the doctor's consent.

4. If the baby's belly is very hard and swollen, and the baby looks very uncomfortable and in poor spirits, and is usually vomiting or wheezing, it is even worse. Parents should pay special attention and take the baby to the doctor for examination and treatment as soon as possible.
