25-month-old baby early education

Babies aged 25 months can be considered big babies. They can understand their parents’ emotions and play simple games with them. Babies at this stage begin to have their own opinions and start watching TV, hoping to get some learning opportunities from the outside world. Although babies are cute, we need to use normal education methods to let them know the world. So, how should we educate a 25-month-old baby?

1. Development indicators of 25-month-old babies

At 25 months old, the growth rate of the child's head begins to slow down, the limbs and torso grow longer, and the proportions of the head and body become more like those of adults. The body length is about 86 to 88 cm, and it will grow another 0.6 cm this month; the weight is about 4 times that at birth, and it will increase another 0.15 kg this month; 18 to 20 deciduous teeth have erupted, and the baby can eat well, and can usually use a spoon and bowl to eat by himself.

Walking is no longer a problem for the baby. He can now go up and down stairs on his own, jump off the ground with both feet, and his coordination is gradually developing. In terms of language, a 25-month-old baby has mastered about 200 words, can speak sentences consisting of 5 to 6 words, and can recite some nursery rhymes completely. Babies with faster language development will master more nursery rhymes.

2. Baby development index test method

1. Height: Let the baby lie on his back on the center line of the measuring bed bottom board, take off shoes and socks, and if the temperature is suitable, you can choose not to wear clothes. The baby's face is facing up, and one person fixes the baby's head so that it touches the head board and the ears are at the same level. The measurer stands on the baby's right side, holds the baby's knees with his hands, makes his lower limbs touch each other and close to the bottom board, and uses the other hand to move the foot board so that it touches the baby's heels on both sides. This way, the baby's height can be measured more accurately.

2. Weight: The weight should be measured one hour after the baby has eaten and has a bowel movement. Take off the baby's coat and clothes, and measure only the baby's next-to-skin clothing. Have your baby lie flat on the scale, or stand on the scale if he or she is able to stand, so that you can measure his or her weight.

3. Head circumference: Use a soft tape measure to measure the head circumference. Let the baby sit or stand. If the baby is too small, the baby can lie down. Use your right thumb to fix the zero point of the soft tape measure on the right side of the baby's head. Place the soft tape measure at the same level as the upper edge of the baby's brow arch, and go around the head through the occipital tubercle. Measure close to the skin, keeping left and right symmetry. This can measure the baby's head circumference more accurately.
