Seven month old baby can't crawl

Everyone knows that during the growth process of a baby, some may not be able to crawl until seven months old. In fact, for babies, they will usually raise their hands when they are two months old, roll over when they are four months old, and crawl when they are eight months old. He could walk when he was about one year old. It is normal for a seven-month-old baby not to crawl. He or she can learn to crawl through the following methods.

In daily life, many young parents do not let their babies practice crawling. They would rather hold their babies in their arms, for fear that the babies will get dirty or hurt themselves while crawling. In fact, crawling is very beneficial to the baby's health.

Every baby can only maintain a supine position when it is born, and gradually raises his head, turns over, sits, crawls and walks. From being "controlled by others" at first to walking independently later, the process of "crawling" is inevitable. Moreover, most babies love to crawl, and they still do not forget to crawl even when they are able to walk upright. Crawling seems to be a very simple activity, but it is not easy for babies and it takes a lot of effort to complete it. Crawling is very important for the development of a baby's various abilities, and you must never skip it and go directly to learning to walk.

Crawling is an excellent whole-body exercise that can promote the baby's physical growth and development. When the baby is crawling, the head and neck are raised, the chest and abdomen are off the ground, and the limbs are used to support the weight of the body. This exercises the muscles of the chest, abdomen, back and limbs, and promotes bone growth, creating a good foundation for standing and walking in the future. In addition, crawling is a more intense activity for babies and consumes a lot of energy. It has been measured that crawling consumes twice as much energy as sitting and twice as much energy as lying down. This will help the baby eat more and sleep better, thereby promoting physical growth and development.

When teaching a baby to crawl, it is better if two parents work together. One parent holds the baby's hands, and the other parent pushes the baby's feet. When pulling the left hand, the right foot is pushed, and when pulling the right hand, the left foot is pushed, so that the baby's limbs can be passively coordinated. After practicing this several times, the baby will be able to crawl forward.

If your baby's feet do not move while crawling, you can put your hands on his knees to help him bend his calves, but you don't necessarily have to push his feet. It may be very strenuous for the baby to crawl at the beginning, and his abdomen cannot leave the bed. Parents can use a large towel to lift his abdomen to let him practice crawling on his hands and knees, and then gradually reduce the help to let the baby practice crawling by himself. Gradually, the baby's upper and lower limbs become coordinated, and he can use his hands and knees to crawl forward flexibly and in a coordinated manner.
