What to do if children have partial eclipse

Many parents now face a problem, which is what to do if their children are picky eaters. Parents nowadays are more doting on their children. When choosing ingredients and food, most parents only consider their children's taste preferences. However, this will easily form a habit of picky eating in the long run, which is also very detrimental to their physical growth and development. Therefore, when choosing ingredients for their children, parents should not only consider the nutritional content, but also the comprehensiveness of the food.

What to do if you are picky about eating

1. Put more effort into the diversity, variety and reasonable combination of food varieties, the quality of cooking including color, aroma, taste and shape, and the selection of tableware, so that children can maintain a strong appetite when eating and enjoy every meal.

2. Parents should set a good example by not being picky eaters, or at least try not to show picky eaters in front of their children to prevent improper guidance of their children. Avoid criticizing or scolding children while they are eating, which may make them unhappy and affect their appetite. When serving rice to children, give them small amounts and multiple times to increase their confidence in eating. If a child is not in the mood to eat and has not eaten completely, parents would rather let him eat more later than force him to eat. Parents should take good care of the diet of sick children.

3. Control the amount and frequency of snacks for children. The snacks they eat should be of both fine and coarse types, such as raw vegetables, fruits, etc.

4. Teach children relevant knowledge and principles in a form that is convenient for them and they are willing to accept. When children eat in kindergarten, you can conduct some evaluations and competitions on diet, and use their competitive spirit to prevent and correct picky eating.

5. Some families watch TV while eating, or play while eating, which will distract the children and prevent them from concentrating on eating. In some families, when children are eating, parents stare at them for fear that they are not eating enough or eating well. Gradually, the children will use eating slowly as a means of threatening adults, and exchange the adults' attention and care for them. Over time, this habit is formed, and the more anxious the parents are to make them eat, the worse the children will eat.

We parents should feed our children with scientific and reasonable dietary combinations. While considering nutrition, we should also control the amount of food they eat. Eating too much or too little is not good for children. The amount of food should be determined according to the child's own situation. If the child is unwell, we should not force the child to eat. We should actively help the child correct his or her picky eating to ensure the child's healthy growth.
