2. Actinic cheilitis: also known as desquamative cheilitis. 3. Granulomatous cheilitis: also known as hypertrophic cheilitis. The main symptoms are swelling and thickening of the lips, which recur and cannot return to normal, feeling like a mattress. This is a chronic cheilitis of unknown cause. In addition, there is a rare allergic cheilitis, which may be related to certain foods, food additives, intestinal parasites, trauma, menstruation, certain types of lipsticks, and cosmetics. It is more common on the upper lip, with diffuse swelling, unclear boundaries, raised lip protrusions, tight and shiny, and flexible to the touch.

4. Allergic cheilitis: Allergic cheilitis is a mucosal disease with symptoms such as swelling of the red lips and light yellow exudate, local burning, pain, dryness, and itching. The pain is aggravated by friction, and lip movement is restricted. The disease is difficult to cure and can last for several months or longer. The submandibular lymph nodes are swollen and there is local pigmentation. The symptoms of benign lymphoproliferative cheilitis are similar to those of photosensitive cheilitis, with symptoms such as erosion, ulcers, pus and blood crusts, desquamation, chapped skin, pain, and swelling.
