One and a half year old baby sleep time

One and a half year old baby sleep time

Everyone knows that when babies are young, this is a critical stage for growth, and most children are in sleep, and they grow faster, especially children under one year old, they spend most of their time sleeping, and when children grow to one year old, they will be more playful, and the sleep time will also decrease. So how long does a one and a half year old baby sleep?

The sleep time of a one and a half year old child should be arranged reasonably

Arranging a schedule that suits children's age characteristics is the guarantee for their healthy physical and mental development. Sleeping one hour less may not be noticeable for adults, but it is a heavy burden for children. As this fatigue accumulates slowly, you may find that your child becomes moody or capricious for no reason.

A one and a half year old child should sleep twice during the day, each time for 1.5 to 2 hours. Usually parents arrange for their children to sleep once during the day for three hours, and the continuous sleepless time in between can extend to six or seven hours, which can easily cause extreme fatigue for the children. Child health experts believe that this is unreasonable. Only after the age of 1 and a half can you gradually transition to a sleep schedule during the day. This should be delayed for children who are weak or have suffered from serious illnesses. If the child sleeps twice during the day, the schedule of "sleep-breastfeeding-activity-another sleep before breastfeeding" is still effective. Including one feeding before going to bed at night, a baby should be fed 4 times a day.

When the child is nearly 1 and a half years old, he can stay awake for 5 hours in a row. Therefore, you can gradually transition to sleeping once during the day. This transition should be accomplished as gradually as possible to reduce the burden on the child. You can’t let your child go to bed at a certain time in the morning yesterday and change it to 12 noon today. Sudden changes in sleep and rest schedules may cause sleep disorders, mental tension, and erratic temperament in children.

Child education experts particularly emphasize that time should be set aside for outdoor activities in the daily schedule. The specific method is: twice a day in winter, each time for about 1 to 2 hours; in spring and autumn, gradually increase the amount according to climate changes; in summer, most of the time should be spent outdoors.
