What to do if your two-month-old baby has eczema on his face

Eczema is a condition that many babies have encountered, and it often makes parents very worried, because eczema on the baby's face will often make the baby feel very itchy, and they will always scratch it with their hands. If not taken care of properly, it is easy to scratch the face, and even cause symptoms such as infection. This is also very detrimental to the baby's health, and it will also cause the baby to cry. Therefore, if the baby has eczema, it must be adjusted and treated in time. Let's learn about what to do if a two-month-old baby has eczema on his face.

What to do if your two-month-old baby has eczema on his face

In principle, treatment is provided according to the stage of the disease. 1. In the acute stage, use 1% to 4% boric acid solution or 1% to 4% boric acid solution plus 0.1% furacilin solution for wet compress or external washing for about 15 minutes, then apply revonol zinc oxide ointment or 1% chloramphenicol zinc oxide oil. If there is no obvious infection, 40% zinc oxide oil or 15% zinc oxide ointment can be applied externally. Apply wet compress for 2 to 3 days.

2. In the subacute stage, wash with 1% to 4% boric acid solution, and then apply calamine lotion or calamine furazolidone lotion to relieve itching and inflammation. Apply vitamin B6 ointment and SCL ointment (sulfonate paste, see the appendix for the dosage table of commonly used pediatric drugs), or Chinese medicine dehumidifying oil externally.

3. In the chronic stage, apply 1/2 or 1/3 of Fuqingsong or beclomethasone propionate ointment plus bran oil ointment or Pulian ointment, or urea ointment, then cover with a thin plastic film and bandage, seal the bandage every 1 to 2 days until the skin returns to its original state. Bath 1 to 2 times a week at most, and apply skin relaxing ointment when necessary to relieve dermatitis. For chronic localized hypertrophic small lesions, prednisolone acetate or triamcinolone suspension can be injected intradermally at the lesions once a week for a total of 2 to 3 times. It is not suitable for long-term use to avoid skin atrophy.

Prevention

.Most cases of infant eczema may be caused by the children's allergy to certain macromolecules in foods such as protein, fish and milk. These substances can also be passed to the baby through the mother's breast milk. Therefore, this disease is more likely to occur in well-nourished and obese children or those with indigestion.

In order to prevent food allergies in babies, when trying new foods, you must start with a small amount and gradually increase the amount. If there is no allergy, add another new food after 7-10 days. If the child is too obese and is fed too much or too often, the amount and frequency of feeding should be controlled.

If it is estimated that the child is allergic to cow's milk, the milk can be boiled several times before feeding to denature the milk protein, or the child can be fed human milk, goat's milk, soy milk, etc. instead.

If the child is allergic to egg white, only give him egg yolk, or give him a small amount of egg white first and then gradually increase the amount.

If the child is allergic to breast milk, advise the mother to temporarily eat less or no eggs, milk, seafood or highly irritating foods.

At the same time, in order to avoid excessive fluid accumulation in the child's body and aggravate the disease, the sick child's food should contain less salt. If the child has constipation, honey or laxatives may be given as appropriate to prevent allergic food from staying in the intestines for too long.

The above is an introduction to what to do if a two-month-old baby has eczema on his face. After understanding this, when we encounter such a situation again, we must take better care of the baby in time. First of all, we must keep the baby's facial skin clean and dry. In addition, mothers who breastfeed must adjust their diet in time and eat more light and nutritious foods. This will be of great help to the recovery of eczema on the baby's face.
