What causes purpura in children?

Children are in the best period of development, but during this period, their physical fitness has not yet been enhanced, their functions in all aspects are still imperfect, and their immunity is relatively low, so they are very likely to get diseases. Many children will suffer from purpura when they are young. Purpura will not only cause great harm to children's skin, but also affect their growth and development. So, what causes purpura in children?

1. Causes of Henoch-Schonlein purpura in children

1. Infectious factors: Common foods that may induce allergic purpura include bacteria, viruses, parasites and other common factors. Among bacterial infections, beta-hemolytic streptococci are the most common, followed by Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus sp., etc. Among them, respiratory tract inflammation is more common, and is common in scarlet fever, pneumonia, tuberculosis and focal infection. The most common viral infections are rubella virus, influenza virus, measles virus, varicella virus, etc. Parasitic infection is also a common factor that causes allergic purpura, among which ascaris infection is the most common.

2. Food factors. Food factors are mainly caused by certain animal foreign proteins eaten by children, which lead to allergic reactions in the body and cause allergic purpura. The foods include eggs, fish, shrimp, crabs, milk, etc.

3. Drug factors. Certain drugs are also the cause of allergic purpura, including: chloramphenicol, streptomycin, aspirin, sulfonamides, etc.

4. Other factors. Common factors that lead to the occurrence of allergic purpura in children include: insect bites, plant pollen allergies, cold stimulation, trauma, vaccination, mental factors, etc.

2. Prevention

1. Be careful to avoid contact with allergens, such as pollen, chemicals, paint, gasoline, dust mites, etc.

2. Children with allergies should not keep pets and try to minimize contact with animal fur, especially children with identified allergens.

3. Pay attention to food hygiene, wash your hands frequently, and do not eat unclean fruits and aquatic plants to eliminate the chance of intestinal parasite infection.
