What to do if blisters appear on your child's feet

Blisters on children's feet will cause them to become irritable and cry all the time. There are many reasons for blisters on the feet. Some blisters are not itchy or painful, while others are itchy and painful. This can also be preliminarily judged from the characteristics of the growth of the blisters. So how should we deal with blisters on children's feet? How can we make children suffer less? Let’s learn about the relevant issues regarding blisters on children’s feet.

First of all, make sure that the baby's feet are the only place where the bumps appear. Because hand, foot and mouth disease is quite rampant at present, we must first rule out this disease. Hand, foot and mouth disease is an enteroviral disease that shares the common characteristics of enteroviral infection. The symptoms range from the most common no symptoms or only mild discomfort to serious complications and even death. The incubation period is generally 2-7 days, with no obvious prodromal symptoms: most patients develop the disease suddenly. About half of the patients have fever 1-2 days before the onset of the disease or at the same time as the onset of the disease, mostly around 38°C. It mainly affects four parts of the body (the four parts): hands, feet, mouth and buttocks. Because the rash does not look like mosquito bites, drug rash, herpes labialis and gums, or chickenpox, it is also called the "four-no" rash. Clinically, it has the four characteristics of no pain, no itching, no scabs and no scars. Some patients have mild upper respiratory tract infection symptoms in the early stages, such as cough, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, etc.

Second, if hand, foot and mouth disease is ruled out, you can recall what the baby has eaten recently to see if it is papular urticaria caused by allergies. This is very itchy. Some babies will recover after a few hours, but some babies will blister and discharge yellow water. If the yellow water is infectious, wherever the yellow water touches, the place will blister again, and so on. In this case, it is recommended to take oral anti-allergic drugs and apply Wuji ointment and Bactroban. Wuji ointment can only relieve itching, and Bactroban can reduce inflammation and stop yellow water;

Third, observe the baby's mental state. The above are just some small suggestions for identification. The final result needs to be made by a doctor in the hospital. You can go to the pediatric or dermatology department for diagnosis.

When you find blisters on your child's feet, pay attention to whether there are blisters on the hands or mouth, and see if the child has other uncomfortable symptoms. Secondly, if you cannot judge, it is recommended to go to the pediatric clinic for a detailed examination. In addition, pay attention to cleanliness, eat a light diet, get enough rest, and actively cooperate with treatment.
