What to do if your child has a headache

What to do if your child has a headache

In life, many children often have headaches. Parents will be more worried if their children have excessive headaches, because headaches will affect their children's studies. In addition, some children's headaches will cause nausea and vomiting, which will cause stomach diseases over time. Therefore, if parents find that their children often have headaches, they should take their children to treatment in time to avoid delaying the condition and causing serious diseases.

Headache without fever

Headache without fever is most common in school-age children and adolescents. In recent decades, this situation has been particularly evident in children and has tended to increase. Basically, there are many possible causes that require further diagnosis by a doctor.

Tension-type headaches and migraines

Most recurring headaches can be classified as tension-type headaches and migraines. Tension-type headaches are the most common. This type of headache often starts in the neck and extends to the forehead, and the child will feel drowsy.

Migraines in children are the most severe form of headache, often occurring intermittently and occasionally accompanied by nausea and vomiting, and sensitivity to light, noise or smells. This type of migraine varies depending on individual constitution and condition.

Severe migraine

Please let your child have a good sleep in a dim room, which can relieve migraine. During severe headaches, do not give your child anything to eat. Patience and rest can help relieve headaches. If ineffective, please seek medical attention immediately.

Frequent migraines

1. Take painkillers under the doctor's advice and guidance

2. Regular sleeping habits and a fixed wake-up time every day are very important. Don’t sleep in late on weekends!

3. Make sure your child gets enough fresh air and adequate physical activity. Limit TV, video and computer time.

4. Children’s regular diet should include easily digestible unsaturated fats, not too much protein, and a sufficient variety of high-fiber fruits and vegetables. Sweets should be consumed in moderation, especially foods such as chocolate and cola. You can have milk, cereal, whole wheat bread and fruit for breakfast. It will be more fulfilling if you add yogurt. In addition, to avoid bloating, you should always pay attention to whether your bowel movements are normal.

5. Eat small meals frequently. Four or five small meals are better than three large meals. Please eat at regular times and in regular amounts as much as possible.
