In life, the physical health of babies will affect every parent's heart. When babies are young, because the organs in their bodies are not fully developed, they are likely to get sick. The diseases that babies are more likely to get are caused by inflammation. It is very likely that a baby's cold will trigger asthma. So how do you judge whether your baby has asthma? Asthma is a chronic airway inflammatory disease and an immune inflammation characterized by reversible airway narrowing and breathing difficulties. Its clinical manifestations include shortness of breath, cough, sputum, difficulty breathing, and wheezing in the lungs, especially when exhaling. When an asthma attack occurs, it can be relieved with antiasthmatic drugs, or it can be relieved on its own. After an asthma attack, the patient recovers to normal and may have no symptoms at all.
The main symptoms of the patient are difficulty in exhaling, coughing, sputum production, etc. When examining the lungs, a whistle-like sound called "wheezing" can be heard. First of all, there are often allergic symptoms a few minutes before an asthma attack, such as itchy nose, itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose, tears and dry cough. These symptoms are called aura symptoms. Afterwards, chest tightness appears immediately, and the chest feels as if it is being pressed by a heavy stone. After about 10 minutes, difficulty in exhaling occurs. At this time, the "asthma sound" can be heard even without the doctor's stethoscope. The patient is forced to sit upright, with his head stretched forward, his shoulders hunched, and his hands supporting his body, gasping for breath. Such attacks can last from tens of minutes to half an hour and resolve on their own or with treatment. In addition, asthma can also manifest as a chronic disease, that is, it can occur in all seasons. Regardless of whether it occurs or not, there is often chest tightness and shortness of breath, wheezing and asthma-like breathing at ordinary times, accompanied by sticky sputum and low fever. Such patients are often unable to participate in general work. Sometimes an asthma attack begins without any warning symptoms. Some asthma attacks last for several days, and the patient often suffocates due to extreme difficulty breathing, and often dies from heart failure and physical exhaustion. Some asthma symptoms are atypical, manifested by long-term recurrent dry cough, itchy throat, and chest tightness. General anti-inflammatory and cough-suppressing treatments are ineffective. It should be considered that the symptoms may not be typical asthma, and anti-asthmatic treatments are often given to relieve the symptoms. Not only is asthma difficult to treat itself, it can also cause many other diseases, including spontaneous pneumothorax, lung infection, respiratory failure, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cor pulmonale, and so on. |
