New parents are more concerned about the issue of bathing their babies. We do not recommend bathing babies under one month old every day, because the baby's sebaceous glands are not fully developed, the skin is relatively delicate, and the baby's body resistance is relatively low. If the indoor temperature is low, it is easy to cause symptoms such as colds and flu. Therefore, we do not recommend bathing the baby every day. Babies' skin is delicate and excessive washing will not only wash away the sebum, but also kill normal bacteria and cause damage to the skin surface. Use clean water to bathe your baby and wipe his face. Do not use disinfectant products frequently. It should be taken one hour before or after feeding in the morning. When holding the baby for washing, be careful not to let it fall and get injured; do not remove scaly patches on the head forcibly, and do not let the ears, eyes, nose and mouth enter water; when washing in a basin, hold the baby steady and do not let it fall into the water to prevent choking and illness. It is not advisable to take a bath if you suffer from serious diseases such as pneumonia, respiratory and heart failure, skin damage, etc. Since the newborn's umbilical cord has not fallen off yet, it cannot be washed in water to avoid umbilical cord infection. When the umbilical cord falls off, sit or lie on the basin rack to wash. Wash the upper body first and wrap the lower body, hold the buttocks with the left elbow and waist, support the back and head with the left arm, cover the ears with the thumb and middle finger respectively, and wipe gently with a small towel dipped in water. During the washing process, pay attention to the places where the skin folds, such as the armpits, under the neck, and the roots of the thighs. Do not wipe with a towel. Use adult fingers to dip some bath gel to wash the baby. During the washing process, pay special attention not to drop dirty water into the baby's eyes and ears. The treatment of the navel is very important. You can use amiodine to clean the umbilical cord from the inside to the outside until it is completely clean. The roots of the thighs must be completely absorbed of moisture. There will be vernix caseosa in the perineum, so do not rub it. You can also drop some white transparent baby lotion on it and it will dissolve on its own. Because the baby's skin is very delicate, you can apply some baby moisturizing oil on the skin after bathing. It is not recommended to use baby powder because it is very easy to cause colorless pores and cause skin diseases such as prickly heat in babies. When bathing, you should pay full attention to adjusting the indoor temperature. It is not recommended to bathe the baby if it is cold. If the baby is sick, it is not recommended to bathe the baby to avoid aggravating the condition. |
