What are the medicines for treating diarrhea in children?

Diarrhea is one of the common diseases in life. Many parents think that it will be fine after a few times of diarrhea in their children. Actually, it is not like that. If a child's diarrhea is not treated in time, he or she may easily become dehydrated, which will aggravate the condition. So what should we do if our children have diarrhea?

Replenish body water in time. Diarrhea will initially cause mild dehydration. Therefore, the focus of care is to replenish the baby's lost water first.

Mommy can choose any one of the following rehydration methods:

Homemade sugar and salt water. Add 10 grams of glucose or sugar and 2 to 5 grams of salt to 500 ml of boiling water. Take the medicine at a ratio of 20-40 ml/kg body weight within 4 hours. Take the rest at any time.

Salt rice soup. Add 2 grams of salt to 500 ml of rice soup and let your baby drink it as boiled water.

Take the new formula of oral rehydration salt (ORS): 3.5 grams of sodium chloride, 2.5 grams of sodium bicarbonate, 1.5 grams of potassium chloride, 20 grams of anhydrous glucose, add water to 1000 ml.

Tip 2: Do not abuse medication to ensure your baby's safety

At present, the commonly used drugs for treating diarrhea in children are:

1. Montmorillonite powder, also known as Smecta, has the function of strengthening and repairing the barrier of the digestive tract mucosa, and can fix and remove various viruses, bacteria and their toxins. It is suitable for various diarrhea.

2. Microecological regulators, such as bifidobacterium preparations, can regulate the stability of the intestinal environment, protect the beneficial flora in the intestine, and facilitate the treatment of diarrhea.

3. Dinggui Umbilical Patch (original name: Baobao Yitie Ling) is a pure Chinese medicine external patch for the treatment of diarrhea in children, which is simple and convenient.

The above is an introduction to what to do if your child has diarrhea. Parents need to pay more attention to children when they have diarrhea. Never wait until they become dehydrated before treating them, as this will often be the children who suffer.
