Treatment of mild anemia does not necessarily require iron supplementation; iron supplementation through food alone can be used. For mild anemia with obvious symptoms, oral iron supplementation can be used once a week on the basis of food supplementation (the dosage is 8 mg of elemental iron per kilogram of body weight). For moderate or severe anemia, small doses of iron can be used daily (the dosage is 1-2 mg of elemental iron per kilogram of body weight). Avoid coffee, strong tea and foods containing tannic acid during treatment. Once anemia is corrected, it is still necessary to continue to pay attention to iron supplementation through food to consolidate the therapeutic effect.
