Baby gastrointestinal care

Baby gastrointestinal care

Babies' physical changes are relatively large, especially those of infants. There are various reasons for the physical changes in babies, but they are all inseparable from the fact that babies are fragile. Because babies are still young and do not have a complete digestive system and resistance system, they are prone to some diseases that threaten their health. What parents need to do is mainly to take care of the baby's gastrointestinal tract. Let's take a look at the baby's gastrointestinal care matters.

1. Diet

Eat less popsicles and other cold drinks. In summer, you should not eat too much raw and cold food. Mothers may wish to arrange more light, refreshing, protein-rich and easily digestible food. Limit the intake of greasy and high-sugar foods, eat more natural heat-preventing and cooling foods such as watermelon, fruits, mung bean soup, and winter melon soup, drink more millet porridge which is good for the spleen and stomach, and eat carrot puree, steamed apple puree, etc. Let your baby eat more fresh seasonal vegetables. Mothers can add mashed garlic to the dishes, which can make the cold dishes more refreshing and delicious and help prevent intestinal infectious diseases. Or adding some vinegar to the dishes can also increase the baby's appetite and help digestion and absorption.

For babies who have not yet started eating complementary foods, you can choose milk powder with a comfortable formula that is gentler on the stomach and intestines. This will promote absorption, effectively enhance intestinal resistance, and reduce the chance of summer diarrhea.

2. Nursing

If the baby has diarrhea due to improper diet, no medication is needed. You can start with the feeding method, adjust the feeding amount and feeding time, and try to feed the baby in meals. Once the method is adjusted, the baby's stomach will get better.

Babies should keep warm in summer and should not stay in air-conditioned rooms for a long time. You might as well let your baby go outdoors more often, participate in activities to exercise and improve immunity. In addition, to keep the child's abdomen warm, he or she can wear a small belly band or sleep with his or her clothes on.

The above is an explanation of the gastrointestinal care of infants. From the above explanation, it can be seen that the issue of gastrointestinal care for infants requires parents to pay great attention to it. The baby's body is very weak and cannot be directly fed some complementary foods, especially infants under one year old. Therefore, the care of the baby's stomach must be chosen according to the baby's age.
