What is right chronic otitis media mastoiditis?

As we all know, the ear is an important auditory organ in our human body. There is an eardrum in the ear that keeps bacteria out and protects the cochlea. Various smaller organs are rented to form ears. Some people are born with deafness, which cannot be avoided. But we can avoid acquired damage by protecting our ears and hearing. So, let's take a look at what right-sided chronic otitis media is and how to treat it.

Acute mastoiditis is an acute suppurative inflammation of the mastoid air cell mucosa and bone, which often develops from acute suppurative otitis media. It is more common in children.

The cause and pathology are as follows: due to weak body resistance or improper treatment, the middle ear inflammation continues to develop, the entrance of the tympanic sinus is blocked by the swollen mucosa, the pus in the mastoid is not drained smoothly, and accumulates in the mastoid air cells. The air cell mucosa necrotizes and falls off, and the bone wall is compressed by the pus and the influence of its own inflammatory lesions, resulting in decalcification and necrosis, the atrial septum ruptures, the air cells fuse, and a large pus cavity is formed, which is called fusion mastoiditis or mastoid pyogenes.

Although acute otitis media is treated, due to insufficient use of antibiotics, the mastoid inflammatory lesions continue to develop, but the systemic and local symptoms are not obvious, so it is not discovered. This is called latent mastoiditis.

treat:

Large doses of antibiotics should be injected early, such as penicillins, cephalosporins, etc. In order to control the disease as quickly as possible, penicillin and streptomycin are injected together at the beginning. At the same time, ear canal secretions are taken for bacterial culture and drug sensitivity testing so that sensitive drugs can be switched to. If the perforation of the tympanic membrane is small and pus drainage is poor, or if the tympanic membrane is not perforated, a myringotomy should be performed to facilitate drainage. If an abscess has formed behind the ear, it can be cut open and drained. If drainage is poor, infection cannot be controlled, or if complications are suspected, mastoidectomy should be performed immediately.

After reading the above detailed information about right-sided chronic otitis media and mastoiditis, I believe you have a certain understanding of this disease. Friends who suffer from this disease often have fluid flowing out of their ears, which can be painful in severe cases and require good care. If you are suffering from chronic right-sided otitis media, please go to the hospital for treatment in time. Also keep your ears clean and do a good job of cleaning in daily life.
