What should I do if my child is constipated and has blood in his stool?

Children often suffer from a variety of diseases due to the incomplete development of their body systems. Also, due to their gluttonous nature, the diseases they suffer from are mostly digestive system diseases. The saying that illness comes from the mouth is most evident in children. Parents can solve common diseases such as indigestion on their own, but some diseases should not be treated lightly, such as constipation and bloody stools in children. Today I will tell you what to do if your child is constipated and has blood in his stool.

Constipation in infants and young children is a common disease. This is because the baby’s digestive organs are not fully developed, which can easily cause bowel movements. Constipation can be divided into two categories. One is functional constipation, which can be cured through conditioning. The specific treatment method is: give your baby more water, boiled water, orange juice, or honey water will all be fine.

For babies who are switching from breast milk to cow's milk, the milk should be slightly diluted in the early stages to allow the baby's stomach and intestines to gradually adapt. Another type of constipation is caused by congenital intestinal malformations. This type of constipation cannot be cured by general conditioning and must be corrected by surgery.

Functional constipation can be treated by diet therapy. Senna egg soup: 5-10 grams of senna leaves, 1 egg, a little spinach, and appropriate amounts of salt and MSG. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them for later use. Boil senna leaves in water, remove the residue and take the juice, add eggs, spinach, salt, boil and add MSG.

For children, the most common cause of bloody stools is anal fissures caused by dry stools or constipation. It is still necessary to treat the condition by fundamentally adjusting the stool characteristics. You can massage your abdomen appropriately. If the child does not defecate for a long time, you can also give the child some Simo Decoction to regulate the gastrointestinal function, or use enema, soap bars, etc. to stimulate defecation. In the future, pay attention to letting the child defecate regularly every day. At the same time, pay attention to drinking more water, eating more vegetables, fruits and other foods rich in vitamins and dietary fiber.

When a child is sick, the most important thing for parents is to keep a clear head. We should not be too relaxed about minor illnesses, nor should we be too nervous and give children medicine at will. Many medicines have strict requirements on the time and dosage of use. If the requirements are not met, these medicines may aggravate the child's condition and the consequences may be very serious.
