Oral anti-inflammatory drugs for children's trauma

Oral anti-inflammatory drugs for children's trauma

Anti-inflammatory drugs can cure many abnormal diseases in the human body and can also be used to reduce inflammation of external wounds in the human body. For some wound infections or problems of internal inflammation, the use of anti-inflammatory drugs has a very significant effect. Children often lack a sense of safety and often get bumped into things, causing injuries on their bodies. So when children suffer trauma, can they take oral anti-inflammatory drugs? This will depend on the severity of the wound.

Top ten common medicines for baby trauma:

1. Iodine

If the baby is abraded, bruised or scratched, use cold boiled water diluted 10 times to rinse the contaminated wound. Iodine tincture can also be used on mucous membrane wounds. After abrasions, bumps, or scratches, clean them with clean water first and dry them with a tissue. If the bleeding stops on its own, just disinfect it with iodine.

2. Green ointment

It can be used for babies' mild burns, trauma, various skin infections caused by mosquito bites, and even local skin erosions. It can be used to fight inflammation and relieve pain.

3. Bactroban ointment

If the child's small wound shows signs of redness, swelling and inflammation, you can use this, which is an external antibiotic, three times a day, for a course of 5 days. When the wound around the eyes becomes red, swollen or inflamed, do not use Bactroban ointment, but use erythromycin ointment instead.

4. Safflower Oil

Used for bruises, promoting blood circulation and expelling wind, relaxing muscles and relieving pain, and insect bites. However, it cannot be used during the acute phase of injury, that is, within 24 hours, and it is also not suitable for children with damaged skin or allergies.

5. Band-Aid

It can be used to treat small wounds that are relatively superficial, neat and clean, do not bleed much and do not require sutures. However, do not use Band-Aids on small and deep wounds. It is best to go to the hospital for treatment. In addition, Band-Aids have the function of absorbing liquids, so if they get wet, they should be replaced immediately. Need to replace with new ones every day.

6. Triamcinolone acetonide econazole cream (such as: Pevisone, Jinruisong, Ibisu)

Anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic. It can be used to treat common eczema and dermatitis, such as baby diaper rash, papular urticaria, insect bite dermatitis, etc.

7. Yunnan Baiyao Spray

Used for acute soft tissue sprains and contusions, this medicine has the effects of promoting blood circulation, dispersing blood stasis, reducing swelling and relieving pain. Do not use it if the child's skin here is damaged, or if the child is allergic to alcohol. Children's skin is delicate, so when using aerosol, it is best to spray it on normal skin first and then use it if there is no allergic reaction. In addition, do not use it if your face is injured to prevent the medicine from spraying into your mouth, eyes, or nose.

8. Voltaren Cream

If a child has a sprain, strain or bruise, apply a cold towel first. Use Voltaren cream again after 2 days to relieve pain. Do not use it if the skin is damaged or there is an open wound. This medication is also absorbed systemically when applied topically, so don't use it in large doses. Children who are allergic to antipyretic and analgesic drugs should not use Voltaren.

9. Calamine lotion

It can be applied when the baby suffers from dermatitis papules but has no obvious skin erosion and exudation, or when the baby is bitten by mosquitoes or insects.

10. Physiological saline, medical gauze

Use saline solution to clean the baby's wound. If bandaging is required, it is advisable to use medical gauze for bandaging.

If the skin injury is minor, there is generally no need to take anti-inflammatory drugs. Just disinfect it with iodine and then bandage it. Be careful not to let water accumulate in the wound. To prevent infection.
