Can a two-month-old baby use air conditioning?

As the weather is getting hotter, babies will also suffer from the heat. At this time, the dad and mom of a two-month-old baby will be distressed. Can the two-month-old baby use air conditioning? If you don’t turn on the air conditioner for the baby, the baby will be noisy, and seeing the baby feel hot, it is particularly distressing for parents. If you turn on the air conditioner for the baby, you are afraid that it will be bad for the baby’s health! It’s really a dilemma! Using air conditioning will make the baby easy to get sick and catch a cold.

Two-month-old babies can use air conditioning, but the following aspects need to be noted: 1. The temperature is generally suitable. The air conditioning temperature is more suitable between 25 and 28 degrees. When the temperature is high, the temperature difference can be adjusted to about 6~7 degrees; when the temperature is not too high, the temperature difference can be adjusted to 3~5 degrees, and the wind speed of the air conditioner should not be too strong. Turn on the air conditioner after the baby enters the room. When going out, turn off the air conditioner and wait until the room temperature is close to normal temperature before going out. The baby must avoid going in and out frequently. 2. Ventilate frequently and open windows frequently to ensure the flow of indoor and outdoor air. Turn off the machine after 1 to 3 hours, and then open the windows to exhaust the indoor air. For families with newborn babies, when using air conditioning, open at least one window to keep the indoor air circulating. Because air-conditioned rooms are generally sealed and the indoor air is turbid, the bacterial content will increase, the concentration of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide will increase, and the air quality will deteriorate. At the same time, the air conditioner's filter absorbs too many anions in the air, increasing the number of cations in the room. The imbalance of the normal ratio of anions and cations can cause physiological disorders in the human body and lead to discomfort.

Therefore, even if you have air conditioning, you should try to use natural wind to lower the indoor temperature. Before going to bed at night, set the air conditioner temperature to around 26-28 degrees, set the timer for 2-3 hours, and cover your baby with a thin blanket. After 1 to 2 hours, the baby enters a deep sleep, and the adult turns the air conditioner to ventilation mode and opens the windows appropriately for ventilation, which is the so-called "breeze circulation". In addition, you can also purchase a negative oxygen ion generator to ensure indoor air quality. Keep moisturized and pay attention to the humidity in the room. If you stay in an air-conditioned room for a long time, you will often feel dry mouth and tongue. This is because the moisture in the body is evaporated by the cold air, and the air conditioner has no ability to regulate humidity.

Can a two-month-old baby be given air conditioning? Strictly speaking, no, so you cannot use air conditioning for a two-month-old baby. Parents who feel sorry for their babies because they feel uncomfortable with the heat can settle for the next best thing, which is to use a small fan to cool them down, or take them outside to enjoy the natural breeze, but they cannot use the air conditioner to cool them down!
