Reasons why babies keep waking up at night

After a busy day at work, many young parents have to take care of their children at night, so the couple takes turns to take care of the children. However, they still can't sleep well, feel sleepy and weak, which makes them particularly painful. The baby always wakes up at night, and the boy will cry and make a fuss when he wakes up. I hold the baby and keep walking around and rocking him. So why does the child always wake up? Let's understand the reason together!

● Improper arrangement of nap time. Some children cannot get up in the morning and take a nap at 2-3 in the afternoon. Or the nap time is too early, so they fall asleep early at night. When they wake up in the middle of the night, they cry if no one is playing with them. These children can be woken up earlier in the morning and their nap time can be adjusted appropriately so that they feel sleepy at night and can sleep soundly until dawn.

● Impact of diseases Certain diseases can also affect children’s sleep at night. To this end, we must start with the primary disease and actively prevent and treat it.

Babies with rickets are often irritable and restless at night, and no amount of coaxing from their parents is of any use. Some babies will suddenly wake up in the middle of the night, crying and making noises, with extremely nervous expressions. This is mostly because they are too excited or stimulated during the day, and they dream about what they thought about during the day.

In addition, for children with pinworm disease, pinworms will crawl to the anus at night to lay eggs, causing extreme itching of the skin. The children will also become irritable and cry constantly.

In addition, some parents feed their babies milk as soon as they wake up. In fact, this is wrong. Don't let your baby develop the habit of opening his mouth to eat as soon as he opens his eyes. I don't know how many months old your baby is. Generally, babies under 3 months old should be fed on time at night (every 3 hours for breast milk, every 4 hours for formula milk, and every 3.5 hours for mixed formula). By the 4th month, if your child's height and weight are up to standard, do not wake him up to feed. If he wakes up, coax him first and give him some water. If he can fall asleep, that's enough. If that doesn't work, feed him milk. If it's milk powder, you can make it thinner than usual and slowly help him wean himself off the milk at night.

Nowadays, many parents are particularly fond of their children. They will pick up the baby as soon as he or she cries and will not put the baby down gently until the baby falls asleep. Gradually, the child who falls asleep in the arms will have a special sense of security. If the child is put down, the child will be awakened. Therefore, in order to deal with the baby who often wakes up at night, parents should not let their children develop the habit of sleeping in their arms.
