Causes of indigestion in seven-month-old babies

Causes of indigestion in seven-month-old babies

Parents are more concerned about their baby's eating habits, because it is related to the foundation for the baby's healthy growth. Therefore, it is very important to protect the baby's health and let the baby have a healthy and reasonable diet. However, due to the baby's very poor physical condition, the gastrointestinal system often has problems, especially seven-month-old babies suffer from indigestion. So what is the reason for indigestion in seven-month-old babies?

There are three main reasons for indigestion in children:

1. The food given is not easy to digest. Since infants and young children have poor digestive abilities, parents should feed their children foods that they can digest and absorb and are willing to accept based on their age characteristics. On the one hand, parents should gradually change their children's diet from liquid to semi-liquid (such as rice soup, paste food, porridge, etc.) and solid food (such as soft rice, bread, etc.) according to the different age characteristics of their children.

2. Giving too much new food. For example, some children eat shrimps for the first time and think they taste good, so they eat a lot at once, resulting in indigestion. Therefore, when parents let their infants and young children try a new food, they should let them adapt slowly. Don’t give too much at one time. Increase the amount gradually to allow the child to adapt.

3. Improper food combination. After the baby is 4 months old, parents need to add complementary foods other than milk to the child and pay attention to giving the child a nutritionally balanced diet. Children's growth requires a variety of different nutrients, including protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and trace elements, cellulose and other nutrients. Food is the most basic, but meat, fish, milk, eggs, vegetables, fruits, etc. are also necessary for the body. Therefore, parents need to rationally match the food they give their children to achieve diversity and avoid food being too monotonous.

From the above introduction, there are many reasons for indigestion in seven-month-old babies, and most of these reasons are that parents do not control the baby's diet well and give the baby some fiber food too early, causing the baby to be unable to fully digest the food. Therefore, parents should pay attention to this problem.
