Reasons why children sweat

Reasons why children sweat

It is summer now, so sweating has become a very normal thing. But why do children sweat easily at other times? Especially for newborn babies, sweating is very serious. Many parents worry that there may be some problems inside their children's bodies, but this is not the case. The reason why children sweat is actually very simple. It can be divided into the following categories.

Generally speaking, hyperhidrosis can be divided into two categories: one is physiological hyperhidrosis and the other is pathological hyperhidrosis.

1. Physiological hyperhidrosis.

① Heat-related sweating. It manifests as sweating all over the body, such as sweating when the temperature is high or the amount of activity is high. It is worth mentioning here that

Some children are very active during the day and their bodies are unable to expel all the heat. After falling asleep, they sweat from their foreheads, nose tip, and entire bodies to expel the remaining heat. At this time, their body surface is not cold. After deep sleep, the remaining heat in the body is dissipated and the body stops sweating.

②Neurogenic hyperhidrosis. The areas where sweating occurs are mostly the palms, soles of feet, and armpits, where sweat glands are more developed. If the child cries or

Sweating may occur after eating certain irritating foods, such as ginger, pepper, onion, garlic, etc., or when the sympathetic nerves are excited, such as when you are mentally nervous or emotionally excited.

In cases of physiological hyperhidrosis, apart from excessive sweating, the child's spirit, appetite, urination and defecation are normal, and there are no other symptoms. Generally, no treatment is required, but you should wipe off the sweat in time when sweating a lot to avoid catching a cold. At the same time, pay attention to replenishing lost water and electrolytes. Understand which of the above categories your child's excessive sweating belongs to and find out the cause to reduce sweating.

2. Pathological hyperhidrosis. It refers to excessive sweating caused by disease, and excessive sweating is a symptom of the disease itself.

① Rickets. This is more common in children. Due to low blood calcium, the sympathetic nerve excitability increases, prompting the sweat glands to secrete sweat.

In addition to the increase in the number of hairs, there are also symptoms such as unstable sleep, irritability, easy startle, thinning hair, and further development may lead to bone changes, such as slow closure of the infant's fontanelle, protruding forehead, square top of the head, protruding chest like a pigeon chest, flared rib margins, curved spine, and X-shaped or O-shaped legs when standing.

②Others: congenital heart disease; hair loss, excessive sweating, tongue-shaped corneal opacity syndrome; dehydration dryness syndrome; hyperthyroidism; tuberculosis and rheumatic diseases, etc., also often have excessive sweating or night sweats. All these pathological hyperhidrosis have one common feature, that is, they are accompanied by other symptoms of the corresponding diseases.

I believe that everyone now has a clear understanding of the reasons why children sweat a lot. In fact, this is just a way of metabolism and detoxification in the body. Therefore, I suggest you exercise more often to allow the toxins in the body to be discharged through sweating. The only thing you need to pay attention to when children sweat is to deal with the sweat in time. You can't keep it in the body for a long time, as this will easily cause a cold.
