What should I do if my child gets prickly heat?

In summer, children are more likely to get prickly heat. Mothers are often very anxious when their children get prickly heat, especially new mothers. They don’t know how to treat their children’s prickly heat, which delays the best treatment time for their children. So what should you do if your child gets prickly heat? Let’s take a look together below!

New treatment for prickly heat

(1) Put 10 grams of peppercorns into an enamel pot, add 200 ml of boiling water, and cook over low heat for 5 to 6 minutes. When the water is cool enough to not burn your hands, use cotton wool to gently wipe the affected area with the peppercorn water. After 12 hours, the pus tips of the prickly heat will generally shrink and dry up. To consolidate the therapeutic effect, warm the remaining peppercorn water over low heat and then wipe the affected area again. After this treatment, the prickly heat will disappear completely.

(2) Use the cut surface of cucumber or mashed loofah leaves to rub the prickly heat 2 to 3 times a day. The effect will be visible after a few days.

(3) For more severe prickly heat, grind 1 part of licorice root into powder and 2 parts of talcum powder and rub it on the prickly heat.

(4) You can also take 100g of stinking sycamore and 200g of purslane and boil them in water for external washing.

Ten drops of water to treat prickly heat

Using ten drops of water is very effective in treating itching. The usage is as follows: first use warm water to clean the sweat and secreted oil on the affected area, then squeeze out a few drops of water and apply it to the affected area, and let it dry naturally. The skin where the medicine is applied has a slight burning and pain-killing sensation, but it will no longer be so painful after a few minutes. Apply two or three times daily. It can reduce inflammation, swelling and itching in two or three days. In more serious cases, medication can be prolonged.

The skin of infants and young children is delicate and should not be applied directly. You can dilute the ten drops of water with warm boiled water in a ratio of 1:10 before use. The number of times you apply the mask every day can be increased or decreased depending on the number of prickly heat rash you have. To prevent infection from scratching with fingernails, it is better to rub it with cotton swabs. In addition, bathing can also be used for prevention and treatment. The method is to add an appropriate amount of Ten Drops (such as half a small bottle) to warm water every time you bathe your child, but be careful to only use clean water for bathing, and do not use soap, bath gel, etc., in order to maintain the effectiveness of the medicine.

1. After eating watermelon, wipe the affected area with the rind. Wipe until it turns slightly red. Wipe two or three times a day. The effect will be seen on the second day (no more itching), and a scab will form after two days.

Through the above introduction, I believe everyone has understood the treatment measures for children's prickly heat. In daily life, you must not let your baby be too hot. Don't cover your baby too thickly when sleeping at night for fear that the baby will get cold. This will aggravate the phenomenon of prickly heat. It is better to eat more light fruits and vegetables.
