Can children drink Coke?

Many children love to drink cola in their daily lives. This drink can indeed make children feel very delicious, but parents should try not to let their children drink too much cola, because cola contains some ingredients that excite the central nervous system. If they drink too much, it may cause their children to eventually develop diseases such as ADHD.

Since caffeine has a strong excitatory effect on the central nervous system, some scholars have shown that attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children is related to it, which can cause children to become irritable, undisciplined, and have poor academic performance. [1]

2. Not suitable for women of childbearing age

Women who often drink caffeinated beverages find it difficult to conceive, and women who drink cola and smoke find it even more difficult to get pregnant. Therefore, women of childbearing age should not drink caffeinated beverages. [1]

3. Not suitable for pregnant women

Caffeine can inhibit the normal development of the fetus in the mother's body. Drinking too much cola will often cause the baby to be born underweight and have a higher natural mortality rate. [1]

4. Not suitable for smokers

Caffeine, under the influence of nicotine mutagen, can easily cause mutations in certain tissues of the body and even lead to the production of cancer cells. To avoid the above hazards, you should change the habit of smoking and drinking cola at the same time. [1]

2. Do not take ibuprofen and cola at the same time. Ibuprofen, a commonly used antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug, can irritate the gastric mucosa, while the caffeine contained in coffee and cola can also irritate the gastric mucosa and promote gastric acid secretion. If you drink coffee or cola immediately after taking ibuprofen, it will aggravate the irritation to the gastric mucosa, and in severe cases, gastric bleeding, gastric perforation, etc. may occur. [2]

3. A small amount of cola can promote digestion. Drinking too much cola is not only harmful to the stomach and intestines, but also affects digestion. Because a large amount of carbon dioxide can inhibit the beneficial bacteria in the human body, it can easily cause abdominal bloating, affect appetite, and even cause gastrointestinal dysfunction. [1]

Many people have a love-hate relationship with Coke. They like its delicious taste but are afraid of the series of health hazards it brings, which can be roughly divided into three aspects: high calories causing obesity; hindering calcium absorption causing osteoporosis; high acidity causing tooth decay. What are the facts? Please see the following proof. [2]

The phosphates contained in cola are believed to be the original sin that hinders bone absorption, causes osteoporosis and affects bone growth. But in fact, phosphate is a mineral that is ubiquitous in nature and is a nutrient necessary for all living things. Phosphate not only plays an important role in the body's energy metabolism, but is also the main component of human bones and teeth. A large amount of scientific evidence from abroad has also verified that phosphate has no effect on human calcium absorption:
