After the operation, when the anesthetic effect wears off, there will be slight pain and bruising at the wound. You should take medication regularly. 2. Do not cut the foreskin too much to avoid causing painful penile erections. Generally, the inner layer of the foreskin should be cut to about 0.5 cm away from the coronal sulcus. The laces should not be left too short.

Causes of edema

Edema may occur in the short term after circumcision surgery, which may be due to the following reasons:

1. The surgery cuts off part of the superficial veins, resulting in poor venous return. The dressing was too tight after the operation, resulting in poor local blood circulation.

2. There is a narrow ring in the foreskin itself, and the narrow area has not been completely cut open. After the operation, the narrow ring still exists, resulting in poor venous return.

Generally speaking, poor lymphatic return can lead to lymphadenopathy, and poor venous return can lead to foreskin edema.
