White spots on the child's neck

White spots on the child's neck

Some children's skin is not particularly good, and they are very likely to have some white spots on their necks. These white spots are very harmful to health, because many people are afraid that these white spots will develop into vitiligo. Although vitiligo is painless and itchy, it affects the appearance and will affect the future life, especially for children, which will cause serious psychological pressure. So what is the matter with white spots on children's necks?

White spots on the skin may occur in the following situations:

1. Pityriasis versicolor, the symptoms are pale, smooth, and scale-free skin. It usually occurs in people who sweat a lot. It usually does not require treatment and can heal on its own.

2. For ringworm, the skin usually becomes pale, scaly and itchy. It can be treated with external application of Dermatitis Cream.

3. Vitiligo: The skin is generally white, without scales, and has a smooth surface with unclear boundaries from normal skin. With the progression of the disease, the white spots often spread and the condition progresses. In some patients, the white spots do not spread temporarily, but once the immunity is low, the disease progresses rapidly and the white spots spread over a large area. Physical examination often shows a deficiency of the trace element copper, and the skin appears pale under Wood's lamp and dermatoscope, and vitiligo can be diagnosed.

If it is vitiligo, it is recommended that you give your child timely treatment. The difficulty of treatment for vitiligo patients will increase with the progression of the disease and the extension of the course of the disease. In your child's case, I feel that it is more likely to be vitiligo, but I still recommend that you go to the hospital for a diagnosis before making further plans. Generally, vitiligo is caused by a lack of copper or an unbalanced nutrition that cannot be absorbed. If you are breastfeeding, it is recommended that you eat less foods containing vitamin C and eat more black and nut foods, such as black rice, black beans, walnuts, peanuts, etc. If you feed your baby artificially, you need to find a way to supplement the necessary nutrients. Vitiligo is a disease that occurs most frequently in summer.
