Mothers are relieved to see their babies grow day by day. It is not easy. From the moment they are born when they are tiny and held in their arms, to the moment they can walk, run and jump, most babies who are two and a half years old have self-awareness and can do whatever they want. If you want them to eat, they want to eat something else. If you want them to sleep, they want to play games. It makes adults angry to see this, especially when sleeping is like a war. Today, let’s talk about the issue of daytime sleep time for two-and-a-half-year-old babies. Everyone knows that adequate sleep is very important for the healthy growth of babies. Infants one month after birth spend the entire time sleeping except for feeding. As the child grows older, their sleep time gradually shortens. Children under 1 year old should sleep 2 to 3 times during the day, children between 1 and 2 years old should sleep 1 to 2 times during the day, and children over 2 years old only need to sleep once. If children do not get enough sleep, they will have a decreased appetite, become irritable, and easily lose their temper, and it will also affect their height growth. So, how should parents arrange their baby's daytime sleep? (1) Create a good sleeping environment. The room where the baby sleeps should be ventilated frequently by opening windows to keep the indoor air fresh; the curtains should be drawn to make the indoor light slightly dim; do not talk loudly in the room and keep quiet. (2) Let your baby develop the habit of sleeping alone during the day from an early age. Half an hour before putting your baby to sleep, try to calm him down, go to the bed with him, prepare the bedding, and train babies under one year old to lie down and sleep by themselves, and do not develop the habit of sleeping in your arms. Train your 2-year-old baby to go to bed on time automatically without the need for parental company or patting to sleep. After the age of 3, children can go to bed and sleep under the covers by themselves without parental supervision. If conditions permit, it is best to let the baby sleep in a separate bed from the parents, while older children can sleep in another room. (3) Do not bring toys to the bed, rock the baby or pat his body, and do not tell tense or scary stories. However, you can sing some lullabies in a low voice to help the baby fall asleep in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. (4) Do not sleep too long during the day, otherwise it will affect your sleep quality at night. Generally 1 to 2 hours is appropriate. In fact, the problem of daytime sleep time for a two-and-a-half-year-old baby lies in a habit. Parents should help the baby develop good sleeping habits, let him go to bed at a fixed time half an hour after meals every day, and stick to it for a period of time. Of course, this process will definitely not be smooth sailing, it depends on the parents' persistence. After developing good habits, parents will feel much more relaxed. |
