How should appendicitis in children be treated?

Many children will have symptoms of appendicitis. At this time, parents will be very anxious because children with appendicitis are very suffering. At this time, you must treat your child in time so that your child can get better as soon as possible. Otherwise, if you keep dragging it out, it will definitely not be good for your child, and you will also be more worried. Generally, if you want to completely eradicate appendicitis in children, you must carry out some necessary treatments.

Surgery

1. For acute appendicitis caused by suppuration, gangrene, ascaris and foreign bodies, surgical treatment should be performed as soon as possible once a clear diagnosis is made;

2. If the child has a long course of illness, after conservative treatment, the appendix inflammation is controlled locally, forming a mass, and B-ultrasound examination confirms that there is pus in the mass. Under the guidance of B-ultrasound, puncture and aspiration of pus or surgery can be performed to cut open the appendix abscess and drain the pus out;

3. If the condition of children who have not been fully diagnosed does not improve or worsens after 6 to 12 hours of conservative treatment, surgical treatment should be performed immediately;

4. For children with symptoms of peritonitis and appendicitis perforation, surgery should be performed immediately to remove the appendix and place a drain in the abdominal cavity. After the operation, antibiotics or Chinese medicine should be used for treatment under the guidance of a doctor;

5. When a child suffers from an acute attack of chronic appendicitis, surgery should be performed immediately. Especially for children with long-term recurrent abdominal pain, because there is chronic inflammation in the appendix cavity, which affects the normal life of the children, they should undergo surgery as soon as possible to remove the appendix.

Conservative treatment

1. During conservative treatment, children can eat light food according to their actual conditions to regulate gastrointestinal function;

2. Before the appendix abscess is formed, drainage is not suitable and conservative treatment should be performed. The child should be ensured to rest in bed and avoid strenuous exercise to prevent the tumor from rupturing and the spread of inflammation.

Now you know how to treat pediatric appendicitis. In the future, if your child has appendicitis, you can take her for surgery, or you can use conservative treatment if you are worried. But no matter which treatment you use, your child will get better, as long as you care about your child's health and can detect her physical discomfort in time.
