What causes newborn jaundice and poop?

Nowadays, babies have more and more diseases, and newborns are no exception. There is a disease called jaundice, which is a common disease in newborns. Jaundice has many symptoms, which are visible to the naked eye. The main causes of jaundice are hepatocellular jaundice, obstructive jaundice, etc., so mothers should observe their babies carefully. Jaundice is common in newborns between 3 and 6 months of age.

Generally, in hospitals, it is common to see newborns suffering from jaundice. Many newborns will have jaundice. Doctors will generally determine whether it is pathological or physiological jaundice. If it is physiological jaundice, there is no need to worry about it, but if it is pathological jaundice, you need to see a doctor. Newborn jaundice is a relatively common symptom, which often occurs in premature babies. Premature babies who are not born normally are prone to jaundice. Physiological jaundice is a normal physiological phenomenon.

Due to the metabolic characteristics of neonatal bilirubin, surveys show that approximately 50%-60% of full-term newborns and more than 80% of premature babies will develop physiological jaundice 2-3 days after birth. This physiological jaundice has almost no effect on newborns and will disappear on its own, so parents do not need to worry. This jaundice reaches its peak in 4-5 days, with only the skin and sclera (white part of the eyeball) turning slightly yellow. There is almost no major impact on the physical and mental health of the newborn. Such jaundice will generally disappear on its own in about 2 weeks. Jaundice may last slightly longer in premature babies, but generally does not exceed 3-4 weeks. Neonatal jaundice is generally divided into two categories: physiological jaundice and pathological jaundice. If your baby is diagnosed with neonatal hemolytic disease, treatment must be given as soon as possible and should never be delayed.

If your baby has jaundice, mothers should pay attention and go to a regular hospital for professional treatment in time. Jaundice is very troublesome, so mothers should take good care of their babies.

Okay, faster. Since it is not suitable for newborns to take strong western medicines all the time, they must be treated quickly. Keep the baby from harm.
