What is the exact age of development for girls?

The one-child policy has made every family pay special attention to their babies. Many children eat well and exercise less, and they show signs of precocious puberty. Although parents are worried, they don’t know how to define it. Many schools have also opened hygiene and physiology courses, but the academic pressure on students is relatively high. Many schools have only distributed books but have not formally arranged courses. Girls’ development is more obvious than boys. What is the specific age at which girls develop? How should parents provide care?

When girls are around eight years old, their nipples begin to protrude, which is called pre-developmental stage. Around the age of nine to ten, the nipple hillock begins to bulge and the areola grows, marking the early stages of development. The early developing type is eight and a half to ten years old, the medium developing type is ten to twelve years old, and the late developing type is twelve to fifteen years old. As long as it is within this range, both early and late development are normal. Due to environmental factors such as improved nutrition and reduced disease, this generation of children and adolescents is experiencing earlier puberty.

Under normal conditions, girls will begin to show signs of growth after the age of ten. Between the ages of ten and eleven, their height and weight will grow rapidly, and their breasts will have changed at this time. The nipples will be slightly raised. The nipples will change color slightly and pubic hair will begin to grow. 13-14 years old: Most girls have their first menstruation, which is called menarche (some may have it as early as 11-12 years old, and some may have it as late as 18-19 years old). Menarche is one of the important signs of puberty. At menarche, ovarian function is still unstable, so the menstrual cycle is often irregular. Later, as the body develops, the menstrual period will naturally become regular.

As parents, we must pay attention to the psychological education of our children. Everyone has a different physique, some develop early and some develop late. Children in this period are more sensitive psychologically. Parents must guide their children in time to avoid them developing inferiority complex and other emotions. If you find that your child is too precocious or late in maturing, you must seek medical attention as soon as possible and receive treatment according to the condition.
