What to do if your child cries while sleeping

If a child cries while sleeping, you need to pay attention to timely examination to avoid dangerous situations caused by diseases. Especially the crying problem of infants should be paid attention to to avoid affecting the health of the infant. Timely examination should be paid to ensure the health of the body. So what should you do if a child cries while sleeping? Well let me introduce it to you below.

If your baby usually sleeps well, but suddenly cries and refuses to sleep one day, and is restless after falling asleep, parents must be alert to whether the baby is sick and take him to the hospital for examination and treatment in time, because the following problems may occur:

1. After the baby falls asleep, if he snores continuously, breathes rapidly, turns over frequently, his chest cavity rises and falls continuously, his palms and soles are hot, and he breathes with his mouth open, parents should be alert to sleep apnea syndrome. Doctors say this disease is particularly common among children, and obese children should pay more attention to it;

2. If the baby hunches over and presses his belly when sleeping, and has changes in stool characteristics and poor appetite during the day, it may be due to digestive system diseases such as flatulence and indigestion;

3. When the baby always scratches his butt unconsciously after falling asleep, parents should check whether there are small white line-like worms around the child's anus - pinworms, because pinworm disease can also disturb the child's sleep;

4. If your baby suddenly screams, his eyes are wide open, his teeth are clenched, his limbs are twitching, and his face turns blue or purple after falling asleep, it may be due to a neurological disease such as epilepsy.

5. The child cries constantly while sleeping, often shakes his head, scratches his ears with his hands, and sometimes has a fever. Especially after a cold, parents should take their children to the hospital to see if they have diseases such as otitis media.

Healthy babies fall asleep easily and usually fall asleep after lying in bed for half an hour. No night terrors. After waking up, they can fall asleep again quickly with the comfort of their parents. The baby is in good condition during the day and his growth and development are normal. Usually, children under one month old should sleep 21-22 hours a day; children from 6 months to 1 year old should sleep about 18 hours; children under 1 year old should sleep at least 14 hours; children around 2 years old should sleep 12-13 hours; children from 2-5 years old should sleep 11 hours; and children over 5 years old should sleep 8-10 hours.

The above is my opinion on this issue. If the child has the above problems, it should be noted that it is likely caused by the child’s physical discomfort. Therefore, the child needs to pay attention to timely examination and treatment to ensure the health and safety of the body. Finally, I wish the baby a speedy recovery.
