Baby's neck has pimples

Baby's neck has pimples

The pimples on the baby's neck may be caused by eczema. We should pay attention to the hygiene of the baby's skin, especially if the baby sweats a lot, we need to clean the oil on the skin. When a baby develops eczema, it will cause redness, swelling and itching on the neck, and in severe cases, blisters and other symptoms may appear. At this time, mothers should prevent the baby from scratching the skin with their hands to prevent the wound from becoming infected and worsening.

This condition in babies is mostly eczema. Children with eczema initially have red skin and rashes, followed by rough skin and flaking. Touching the child's skin feels like touching sandpaper. Heat and humidity can make eczema more obvious. Infantile eczema is a common skin disease in infancy. It may occur in infants aged 1 to 3 months, is more severe at 4-5 months, gradually improves after 1 year old, and most can heal on their own after 2 years old, but a few may extend to infancy or childhood. If the symptoms are mild, no treatment is required. If the symptoms are severe, eczema cream can be applied to relieve the symptoms. However, ointments containing hormone ingredients should not be used for a long time. Wait until the eczema gets better. Apply zinc oxide ointment to your baby every day. There are many types of medicines that can be used for eczema, and they should be used under the guidance of a doctor. Before changing to a new medication, be sure to remove the previous medication. When changing medication, it is best to apply it to a small area of eczema first, observe the effect, and decide whether to use it. Avoid aggravating the condition due to improper use of medications.

Daily health care is as follows:

1. Keep the skin clean and avoid irritation such as scratching, sun exposure, wind, etc. To prevent scratching the skin, children's nails should be cut regularly, hands should be washed or gloves should be worn.

2. If you are breastfeeding, the mother should pay attention to diet, avoid spicy and irritating foods, seafood such as fish and shrimp, and citrus fruits.

3. Children's clothes should be loose and preferably made of soft and breathable cotton fabrics. Do not use wool, chemical fiber products, or dark-colored fabrics to prevent allergies. 4. Do not take a bath with alkaline soap or overheated water.

If red bumps appear on your baby's neck, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time. Many parents do not understand their children's condition and just go to a small clinic and take some medicine. This is unscientific. Children's body structure is different from that of adults. We should listen to the doctor's solution. In life, we should also pay attention to children’s eating habits and do not use any medicine, especially topical medicine, without the doctor’s permission.
