What to do if your newborn baby snores

After a newborn is born, he or she is not yet fully adapted to the outside environment, which causes some symptoms in the body, which have a great impact on the child. In the following article, let us understand what is going on with the snoring of newborn babies.

Snoring

Health Effects:

Snoring in babies can cause developmental disorders in babies. One is body shape development disorders, such as maxillofacial malformations. The other is intellectual development disorders, such as inattention, poor memory, and irritability.

Moreover, a recent study by a children's hospital in Australia showed that children who snore have significantly lower IQ, memory and attention than children who do not snore, with attention deficit being the most significant.

Causes and solutions:

Reason 1: Bad sleeping posture

Sometimes children snore simply because they have a bad sleeping posture, which causes their tongue to droop too far back and block their breathing passage.

Solution: Try letting your baby sleep with his head on his side.

Reason 2: Baby milk stasis

Some newborn babies sometimes snore. This is due to choking. Some babies have milk clots in their throats, which makes it difficult for the baby to feed smoothly. Another result is that the airway is blocked, causing the baby to snore while sleeping.

Solution: After feeding the baby, the mother should not put the baby down to sleep immediately. Instead, she should hold him up and gently pat his back to prevent the baby from snoring due to milk accumulation. If the milk clots are severe and have affected breastfeeding, you only need to drop 1 to 2 drops of saline solution into the nasal cavity to dilute the milk clots.

From the above article, we learned that snoring in newborn babies is very normal. In life, we need to pay attention to giving children daily care, giving them a quiet sleep, and feeding them regularly.
