23-month-old baby development indicators

23-month-old baby development indicators

From the birth of a newborn to the time the child slowly grows up, the process is very slow and during this process, parents are most concerned about the child's developmental health and the child's developmental standards. Next, let us take a look at the developmental indicators of a 23-month-old baby.

1. List of 17-month-old baby development standards:

Mean weight: 10.85±1.12 kg for boys and 10.27±1.05 kg for girls.

Mean height: 81.1±2.9 cm for boys and 79.8±2.8 cm for girls.

The mean head circumference was 47.3±1.3 cm for boys and 46.2±1.2 cm for girls.

Mean chest circumference: 47.5±1.9 cm for boys and 46.3±1.9 cm for girls.

The anterior fontanelle is 0~0.5×0.5 cm.

6 to 14 teeth (8 incisors, 4 premolars, and 2 canines).

2. Baby's changes

1. Better walking ability

This month you may find that your baby can not only walk well on his own, but can even "run", although his movements are not coordinated enough and he may fall easily. Preferring to explore various things, the baby will try to reach something by standing on tiptoe. If it is out of reach, a box or stool will be brought over and climbed up to reach the destination. You can also crawl down backwards or land on your butt to quickly descend the stairs. He can push a chair and sit down by himself; he can throw a ball hard and turn the pages of a book.

2. Little hands are more capable

The baby's hands are becoming more and more capable. He can pick up a spoon to eat, drink water from a cup, and even drink soup from a small bowl. He can take off his hat and shoes by himself, and even pretend to feed his toy doll, although he looks a little clumsy and rude. He can play the ball throwing game with his parents. Even if he can only throw the ball one meter away, it is a very big progress for the baby.

3. Significant improvement in language expression

The baby's language expression ability has improved significantly. Now he often points to things and says one or two words, allowing you to better understand what he means.

If you keep singing songs to your baby, not only will the baby be familiar with the songs they often hear, but some babies can already correctly connect to the last word or character of each sentence. For example, if you say "little white rabbit..." the baby will continue with "white and white." Gradually, the baby will be able to easily recite entire sentences, songs or ancient poems. He may begin to pay attention to symbols that express meaning and recognize some Chinese characters and numbers.

When we visited the baby, we learned about the developmental indicators of the 23-month-old baby. First of all, the child's development process is relatively slow, and we must pay attention to the child's nutritional issues in order to avoid physical maldevelopment due to lack of nutrition.
