What should you pay attention to in your baby's diet after weaning?

Babies need to be weaned when they reach a certain age, and then they will start to eat instead of drinking milk. However, the baby's body and digestive system are very fragile. When the baby is just weaned, you need to pay attention to many issues to avoid affecting the baby's physical health. So what should you pay attention to in your baby's diet after weaning? Let me introduce it to you below.

Some parents find that their babies don’t like to eat vegetables and have dry stools, so they use fruits instead of vegetables, thinking that this can relieve their baby’s constipation, but the effect is not ideal. This approach is also wrong, fruits cannot replace vegetables. Vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables, are rich in fiber, which can ensure smooth bowel movements and the intake of minerals and vitamins.

When adding complementary foods to babies, some parents only focus on staple foods, and feed them rice, noodles, various rice porridges, and pastries in various ways, but they eat less complementary foods (fish, vegetables, and soy products), or vice versa. This violates the scientific principles of dietary balance and is not conducive to the healthy development of the baby.

Some parents think that soup is nutritious and can make rice softer, so they always feed their babies rice with soup. This is obviously a misunderstanding. First of all, the nutrients in the soup are only 5%-10%, and more nutrients are in the meat. The fact is that the baby does not get more nutrients. Moreover, soaking rice in soup for a long time will cause a burden on the stomach, which may cause the baby to suffer from stomach problems from an early age.

Most babies love to eat foods such as chocolate candies, creamy pastries, soft and sticky sugars, artificially colored foods, powdered fruit juices, etc. Eating too much of these foods is harmful to the baby's body, so it is not advisable to let the baby eat too much. Avoid foods that are difficult to digest, irritating, or easily contaminated during production.

The above is my opinion on this issue. Babies who have just been weaned need to pay attention to their physical safety to avoid dangerous situations for the baby due to the above problems. The diet needs to pay attention to comprehensive nutritional issues to avoid affecting the baby's health. Finally, I wish the baby can grow up healthy and happy.
