How to treat bloody stools in children?

Many children have problems with their bowel movements, which seriously affect the health of the children. Many parents feel very worried and don't know what to do. So how to treat children with bloody stools? Let me explain to you why this is the case.

First, divide the diseases that cause bloody stools into two categories: those with abdominal pain and those without abdominal pain. If a child passes a mixture of blood and mucus and has abdominal colic, first be sure to rule out intestinal obstruction caused by intussusception, clamping inguinal hernia, and malrotation of the intestines resulting in intestinal kinking. If there is blood in the stool but no abdominal pain, you should consider: (1) The stool is hard and thick, there are blood on the surface of the stool, or there are blood stains on the toilet paper, or there is blood dripping into the toilet bowl after defecation. This may be an anal fissure. A careful examination of the anus will provide the answer. (2) If the stool is formed and soft, and no anal fissure is found during rectal examination, then colon polyps should be considered. The doctor will perform a rectal examination on the patient and arrange a colonoscopy if necessary.

The gastrointestinal digestion ability of newborns is very weak and they need very little nutrition. Don't rush to feed it too much milk powder. He can't finish the little milk his mother gives him. The milk powder has a high concentration and is very irritating. It is difficult for children to digest and defecate at once, resulting in constipation and food accumulation in the intestines. They do not drink much water, which causes dry stools. The hard stool during defecation scratches the intestinal wall and causes bleeding. The child's body is hot, he has blood, and his stomach hurts. How can he not be tired and weak? Of course he needs to sleep and rest. Don't feed him milk powder for the next two days. Just let him drink his mother's milk and feed him more brown sugar water. If the mother has no milk, the amount of milk powder fed to the baby should be at least half of the usual amount, and it should be made very diluted. Feed on time. After a week, when she has fully recovered, add an appropriate amount of milk powder, but still make it very diluted and feed her regularly. Now, as medicine, he can take some vitamin B1, half a tablet at a time.

The above is my opinion on this issue that I introduced to you. If the child has the above problems, timely treatment is needed to avoid affecting the baby's health. Therefore, if the baby has problems, timely treatment is needed. Finally, I wish the child a speedy recovery.
