Symptoms of cold stomach in baby

A cold stomach is also known as stomach cold. There are generally many reasons that induce stomach cold. The most common ones are eating cold things frequently, drinking alcohol for a long time and having the habit of overeating. These are the causes of gastrointestinal problems in patients. Vomiting and nausea often occur after the stomach gets cold, especially for many children. Because a cold stomach is accompanied by diarrhea, parents need to pay special attention.

Symptoms of a cold stomach

A cold stomach is also called stomach cold. There are many causes for it, the most common ones are exposure to wind-cold, eating raw and cold food, drinking, overeating, excessive fatigue, etc.

The stomach's temperament likes dryness and hates cold. If some people have a weak spleen and stomach, they are prone to stomach cold after being exposed to cold, attacking cold, or eating cold drinks or drinking cold water. The disease causes pain and is sometimes accompanied by a cold feeling in the stomach, which will be relieved after warm compress. When the stomach gets cold, mild symptoms include stomach pain and diarrhea, while severe cases include stomach cramps and even vomiting.

There are two different symptoms of stomach cold:

1. Cold stagnation and Qi stagnation type: Patients sometimes have sudden stomach pain, especially in the morning after getting up or after eating cold drinks. The pain is severe when the disease occurs. The stomach will cramp at this time. People are afraid of cold. Because of the sudden stomach pain, their faces turn pale. After hot compress on the upper abdomen, the pain can be relieved. It is especially important to note that when you drink too much at night, you will feel dry mouth and tongue when you wake up in the morning. Do not drink cold water or cold drinks just to satisfy your hunger, as this practice is most likely to cause stomach cold.

2. Spleen and stomach deficiency and cold type: People with spleen and stomach deficiency and cold cannot withstand the cold. When encountering wind and cold, the patient will have dull pain in the stomach, which will be continuous and sometimes come and go. The patient has more acid water in the stomach and sometimes vomits clear water, eats less, feels tired and weak, has cold hands and feet, has a pale tongue, and in severe cases will have diarrhea. After the onset of the disease, the pain can be relieved by hot compress, kneading and eating.

The main cause of stomach cold is bad eating habits, such as eating without restraint, often drinking cold drinks, eating cold food or drinking iced beer. Therefore, it is necessary to develop good eating habits, drink hot drinks often, and avoid or drink less cold drinks. Even if the spleen and stomach function normally, you should not frequently consume large amounts of cold drinks and cold wine, especially in the morning, you should resolutely avoid drinking cold drinks on an empty stomach. Patients with cold stomach should pay attention to keeping the stomach warm and not catch cold. They can eat more pepper pork tripe soup and drink more ginger water. Pepper and ginger are condiments that strengthen and warm the stomach. They can regulate stomach cold symptoms and restore a healthy spleen and stomach. Of course, if you have stomach pain for a long time, no matter what the cause is, it is best to go to the hospital for further examination in time to find out the disease and treat it early.
