What are the causes of baby's stomach pain?

Many young mothers have had this experience: they are very embarrassed when facing their baby's stomachache. Because babies are underdeveloped and have very weak body resistance, they are easily attacked by viruses, causing stomach pain. Of course, it is also possible that the baby eats the wrong things or bites things randomly, causing the disease through the mouth. Of course, no matter what the reason is, mothers need to understand it. The child is weak so it is reasonable for the mother to worry more. It is necessary for every mother to understand the child's physical condition. So here I will introduce to mothers some common causes and conditions of baby's stomach pain.

The first diagnosis to be made is intussusception. It refers to the situation where the front part of the intestine is inserted into the intestinal cavity of the back part (the most common situation is that the ileum of the small intestine is inserted into the cecum of the large intestine), which leads to swelling of the intestinal mucosa and intestinal obstruction, which is medically known as intestinal obstruction. The obstructed intestine needs to be cleared immediately, otherwise, the obstructed intestine may become necrotic, which may be life-threatening. The key points of identification are: Intussusception is common in babies under one year old, with severe abdominal pain. Although the attacks are also paroxysmal, the symptoms are normal during the intervals, which is similar to intestinal spasm, but there is often vomiting and bloody stools with mucus. A sausage-like mass can be felt in the right abdomen.

The second thing that needs to be identified is appendicitis. Appendicitis is more common in children over 5 years old, but it can also occur in children under 3 years old. At the beginning of the disease, children report pain in the middle or upper abdomen (some cannot determine the location of the pain). After a few hours, the pain shifts and fixes in the right lower abdomen. The muscles there feel a little hard when touched (medically called muscle tension), which is obviously different from intestinal spasm. At the same time, appendicitis is often accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and fever, and the abdominal pain will persist or gradually worsen.

The third is acute gastroenteritis, which can occur in children of all ages. In addition to paroxysmal abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever and other symptoms may also occur. Sometimes dehydration occurs due to vomiting and diarrhea.

The fourth is mesenteric lymphadenitis. It is more common in children, most of whom first have a history of upper respiratory tract infection, followed by abdominal pain, dull pain, and continuous attacks.

The fifth is intestinal ascariasis and biliary ascariasis. The abdominal pain caused by intestinal ascaris is also a kind of intestinal spasmodic pain, and it is paroxysmal, similar to intestinal spasm, but there is vomiting, obvious abdominal tenderness, and ascaris masses can be felt, so it is not difficult to distinguish it from intestinal spasm.

To sum up, the causes of baby's stomach pain are some causes that need to be taken very seriously, so mothers should protect their babies from these diseases. Of course, if your baby unfortunately suffers from one of these diseases, there is no need to be too nervous. After all, medical technology is advanced now, and these diseases can be cured as long as they are treated in time. Of course, I would like to remind all mothers that the baby is the core of the family, so you must find a formal and professional institution for medical treatment so that the baby can grow faster, healthier and better.
