Can I bathe my baby if he has a rash?

Can I bathe my baby if he has a rash?

It is the most common phenomenon for babies to get rashes. It is usually caused by allergies. However, the baby's rash is also related to the child's physical fitness. When the baby has a rash, he is often very irritable and often cries. At this time, parents must comfort the baby and help the baby develop good hygiene habits. It is best not to bathe the baby during the rash period. Wait until the rash disappears before bathing the baby.

How many days can a baby take a bath after having a rash?

Generally, babies can only take a bath one week after the rash appears, because during the rash period, the baby's resistance is relatively weak. You must pay attention to keeping warm. Taking a bath can easily cause a cold and aggravate the condition. However, skin cleaning is still necessary. You can wet a towel with warm water and gently wipe the baby's body. The rash will be itchy, so be sure not to scratch the rash and cause infection to other parts. After wiping, let the child rest in bed, do not go out for activities, give the child plenty of water, and supplement vitamins.

After one week, when bathing your baby, remember that the water temperature should not be too high. 35°-40° is best. This can promote the metabolism of the baby's skin and enhance resistance. Also, do not wash your baby too many times. Too many times will easily wash away the protective bacteria on the skin's epidermis, causing skin itching and weakening the skin's resistance.

What to eat after baby has rash

1. White porridge

Regardless of the illness, white porridge is the preferred food. It is best to eat liquid food during illness, which helps digestion. It should not be too greasy, otherwise it will affect the baby's appetite.

2. Drink more water and juice

During the period of roseola, symptoms such as fever and throat discomfort are likely to occur. Be sure to let your baby drink plenty of water and juice to increase vitamin intake, facilitate urination, and promote the excretion of toxins in the body.

3. Eat more fruits and vegetables

Babies with roseola are in a weaker state and should eat more foods rich in trace elements and vitamins, such as bananas and oranges. They should avoid eating fruits that can easily cause inflammation, such as longans and lychees. Although these fruits also contain vitamins, they are too high in sugar and can easily cause lung heat and aggravate the condition.

4. Eat more breast milk during breastfeeding

If the baby is still breastfeeding, he can eat more breast milk. When the baby is sick, he is more dependent on the mother's breast milk. The mother should increase breastfeeding to improve the baby's immunity.

Your baby can take a bath one week after the rash appears, but be careful about the temperature of the bath water so that it is not too hot to burn the baby. After the baby has a rash, he should not go out and it is best for him to rest at home.
