How to sterilize baby bottles and nipples

As your baby grows older, he or she starts drinking milk. At this time, the baby needs to use a bottle or pacifier. Many parents will choose high-quality bottles and nipples, but do you know that if you do not pay attention to the disinfection of bottles and nipples, it will be unhealthy for the baby. So, how to sterilize baby bottles and nipples correctly? In fact, there are many issues that we need to pay attention to when sterilizing baby bottles and nipples.

How to sterilize the nipple of a baby bottle

Traditional method of sterilizing bottle nipples: boiling sterilization

1. Prepare a stainless steel cooking pot filled with cold water. The depth of the water should be able to completely cover all the cleaned feeding utensils. (Stainless steel pots must be used exclusively for sterilizing baby bottles and should not be used with other cooking foods at home)

2. If it is a glass bottle, you can put it in the pot together with cold water. Wait 5 to 10 minutes after the water boils, then put in the pacifier, bottle cap and other plastic products. Cover the pot and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, then turn off the heat. Wait until the water cools down a little, then use a sterilized bottle clip to take out the pacifier and bottle cap, and put them back on the bottle after they are dry for later use. If it is a plastic bottle, wait until the water boils, then put the bottle, nipple, and bottle cap into the pot to sterilize it. Boil for about 3 to 5 minutes. Finally, use a sterilized bottle clip to pick up all the tableware, place it in a clean and ventilated place, and turn it upside down to drain.

3. It should be noted that plastic tableware should not be boiled for a long time, so it is recommended to put it in after the water boils and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, otherwise it will easily deteriorate. You can also pay attention to the temperature resistance mark on the bottle. If it is not resistant to high temperatures, it is best to use a steam cooker for sterilization.

How to control the temperature of the bottle

1. Milk warmer: This method is simple and easy to operate, and it keeps the temperature constant at 40 degrees, saving a lot of trouble.

2. Bottle thermometer: The temperature of the mixed water is clearly displayed on the thermometer, but because the temperature of the mixed water is uneven, there may sometimes be a large error.

3. Bottle temperature measuring sticker: easy to operate and clearly displays the temperature.

4. Test the temperature of the bottle through human organs; you can put your face against the bottle to feel the water temperature, or drop a few drops of milk on the back of your hand, and it's OK when you feel the temperature is right.

5. Temperature display bottle: rapid temperature measurement.

6. Infrared thermometer: shine it into the bottle and the temperature will be displayed quickly.
