What are the consequences of a child choking on water?

What are the consequences of a child choking on water?

Children are playful and tend to be careless in doing things. Whether parents are feeding their children water or children are drinking water by themselves, they can easily choke. I believe many people have experienced the feeling of choking on water, which is very uncomfortable. The same is true for children. Moreover, because their body resistance is weak, choking on water can sometimes have serious consequences. So, what are the consequences if a child chokes on water?

Choking on water in the trachea may cause pneumonia or tracheitis. If there is too much water, it may cause respiratory obstruction, leading to hypoxia and suffocation. This is as risky as foreign matter in the trachea, but water is better and can be expelled through coughing. If it has been completely expelled, there should be little impact and generally no sequelae.

What to do if your child chokes on water and coughs

Cut the white radish into small pieces, then drizzle some honey on it and soak it overnight. Eat the water and radish the next day. It will be helpful. This is how I cured my nephew every time.

When a mother has a headache and doesn't know what her baby can eat for cough, if the baby eats inappropriate food, it will aggravate the baby's cough. So what can a child eat to get better quickly when he has a cough? The mother can let the baby eat more fruits and vegetables such as pears, loquats, radishes, cabbages, tomatoes, etc., which can have a certain relief and therapeutic effect on the baby's cough.

1. Garlic

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, garlic is spicy, sweet and warm in nature. It can warm the middle and strengthen the stomach, help digestion and regulate qi, detoxify and kill insects. It also has the effects of protecting cardiovascular system, protecting liver function, preventing colds, and having strong bactericidal effects. Therefore, if you drink some garlic water in moderation, it will be very effective in curing children's cough.

2. Pear

When I was a child, whenever I had a cold or cough, my family would boil a pear and add sugar to it. In fact, pears do have the effect of treating coughs. Because pears themselves contain a lot of protein, fat, calcium, phosphorus, iron, glucose, fructose, malic acid, carotene and various vitamins. In addition, pear peel, pear blossoms, leaves, and roots can also be used as medicine, with good effects of clearing heat, eliminating phlegm, moistening the lungs, and detoxifying. It has good effects on dryness-heat cough, cold cough, measles cough and tracheitis cough.

3. Loquat

In Compendium of Materia Medica, loquat is described as "quenching thirst, relieving gas, benefiting the lungs, and stopping vomiting, thirst and phlegm." It can be seen that loquat has a very good effect in relieving and treating children's cough. Of course, the most common way to eat loquat is to remove the skin and eat it directly. But be sure to clean the leather because it is very dirty.

4. Radish

Radish has the effects of clearing heat and promoting body fluid, cooling blood and stopping bleeding, resolving phlegm and relieving cough, promoting urination, and detoxifying. The simplest way is to boil a bowl of radish water for the child, which is very effective for cough. Of course, you can also make radish ginger juice, radish soup, candied radish, radish sake decoction, etc. as medicinal food to better treat children's cough.
