Baby's eye skin turns pale

Baby's eye skin turns pale

The skin at the corners of our eyes generally looks darker than the rest of the face, especially for those who often stay up late. Often going to bed late is particularly prone to serious dark circles. For some children, their skin looks much more delicate than that of adults, and the color around the skin may also become obvious. So why is the skin at the corners of the baby's eyes white?

The child's skin is a little pale, with irregular edges and some fine dandruff on it. The color of the surrounding skin is slightly darker than normal skin. This is medically called "simple pityriasis" or "white pityriasis." The cause of the disease is unknown, but it may be due to factors such as wind, sun, irritation from soap or facial cosmetics, infection from certain bacteria, or nutritional imbalance. This type of white pityriasis will disappear naturally, so parents don’t need to worry.

Generally, there are two possible reasons for your child's white spots on the skin:

First, pityriasis simplex in children, which is very common among children. Most children with the disease have no conscious symptoms and the disease gradually disappears. Secondly, in children with vitiligo, the skin lesions have no pigmentation, vary in size and shape, etc. If you cannot judge it yourself, it is recommended to take your child to a dermatologist for examination to determine the cause.

Simple pityriasis is more common in children, and is often caused by vitamin B deficiency, intestinal parasites or worm eggs. Give your child vitamin supplements and apply vitamin B6 ointment externally. Give your child oral albendazole for anthelmintic treatment once every three months, and pay attention to hygiene and develop the habit of washing hands before meals and after defecation.

Considering it is simple pityriasis, it is not a big problem and there is no need to worry too much. The cause of pityriasis simplex is not very clear. It may be related to sunlight exposure and malnutrition. For treatment, you can take multivitamins orally, pay attention to the rationality of your diet, do not be picky about food, and avoid exposure to the sun. Simple pityriasis alba has the ability to heal on its own, so there is no need to worry too much.
