There are still some precautions when babies get vaccinations, but many parents don’t pay too much attention to these things. As a result, they will feel very panicked when their babies have adverse reactions after getting vaccinations. In fact, as long as their reactions are not serious, they do not need to be sent to the hospital for treatment. At this time, you only need to improve the temperature and humidity in their room. Precautions for baby vaccination Infants should be vaccinated with meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine and Japanese encephalitis vaccine when they are 1 year old. According to regulations, the first vaccination of meningococcal vaccine should be carried out between 10 and 12 months of age. Two vaccinations are required to complete basic immunization, with an interval of 3 months between the two vaccinations. There are two types of Japanese encephalitis vaccines, one is inactivated and the other is attenuated. The inactivated one is provided free of charge under the domestic immunization program. The initial vaccination requires two injections, 7-10 days apart, and the attenuated one is the only injection. Comparing the two types, babies with inactivated vaccines need one more injection, but the reaction is relatively small. Babies with attenuated vaccines can be injected one less time, but the reaction is relatively large. Both vaccines are usually given subcutaneously at the attachment of the deltoid muscle on the outside of the infant's upper arm. The reaction after vaccination is mild. Only a few children may experience redness, nodules and other reactions at the injection site. The whole body only has fever. Occasionally, allergic reactions may occur. These reactions will disappear on their own after 1-2 days and do not require any treatment. Infants aged 7-9 months need to be vaccinated with live attenuated measles vaccine, which can prevent infants from getting measles. Currently, it is required that babies should be vaccinated against measles at 8 months of age. The vaccine is given subcutaneously on the outside of the baby's arm. Vaccination should be postponed when the infant has a fever, is in the acute phase or is in the recovery phase of other diseases. Measles vaccine should be used with caution in infants who are allergic to eggs. After the injection of immunoglobulin G and placental globulin, one month must pass before the measles vaccine can be administered. Placental globulin or immunoglobulin G can only be injected two weeks after measles vaccination to avoid affecting the immune effect of the measles vaccine. Infants aged 2-6 months need to receive multiple vaccinations, such as oral polio sugar pills, injection of diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus triple vaccine, hepatitis B vaccine and Japanese encephalitis vaccine. Each vaccination has a certain time and requirements. When the baby is 4 months old, the third polio pill should be taken orally. This completes the basic immunization and produces sufficient anti-polio antibodies in the baby's body, which can last for 2-3 years. Therefore, the dose should be taken again at around 4 years old to strengthen resistance to the disease. The first dose of the DPT vaccine is given to infants when they are 3 months old. To complete the basic immunization of this vaccine, they need to be given another dose at 4 and 5 months old. That is, antibodies against three infectious diseases: whooping cough, diphtheria and tetanus are produced in the baby's body. The third dose of hepatitis B vaccine should be given when the baby is 6 months old. Because there is a long interval between the second shot and the first shot, some parents often forget. If the third dose is not given, the antibody level will be low and the duration will be short. |
