How to identify hand, foot and mouth disease

Hand, foot and mouth disease is an infectious disease caused by intestinal viruses. It usually occurs in early childhood. If the disease progresses rapidly, death may occur. Therefore, as parents, you need to pay more attention to the details of your baby's health. I have made some small summaries of the identification methods of hand, foot and mouth disease, and I hope it will be of some help to you and your children.

(1) Foot-and-mouth disease is caused by the foot-and-mouth disease virus, which currently has 7 serotypes and 65 subtypes. It mainly attacks domestic animals such as pigs, cattle and horses. Although it can cause disease to humans, it is not sensitive. It usually occurs in livestock breeding areas, is more common among adult herdsmen, and occurs in all seasons. Oral mucosal rashes easily merge into larger ulcers, and rashes appear on the backs of hands and between fingers and toes, causing itching and pain.

(2) Herpetic stomatitis can occur in all seasons and is mainly sporadic. There is usually no rash, but herpes may occasionally appear in the lower abdomen.

(3) Herpetic pharyngitis, which can be caused by Cox A group virus, with lesions in the back of the mouth, such as tonsils, soft palate, and uvula, and rarely involving the buccal mucosa, tongue, and gums. Atypical, sporadic HFMD is difficult to differentiate from exanthematous febrile illness and requires etiological and serological examinations.

What are the methods for identifying hand, foot and mouth disease? In daily life, you also need to pay attention to your child's personal hygiene, drink plenty of water, eat cooked food and ventilate the room frequently, which will also have a certain effect on the prevention of hand, foot and mouth disease. In addition, if the baby shows any discomfort, you need to go to the hospital for examination, diagnosis and treatment in time. Doing a good job of prevention and identification can effectively avoid the occurrence of hand, foot and mouth disease. I wish you good health.
