How long does it take for baby jaundice to go away?

Parents are usually very worried when their baby has jaundice, fearing that it will cause some inevitable harm to their baby's body. 2. Jaundice accompanied by severe upper abdominal pain may be seen in bile duct stones, liver abscess or biliary ascariasis. Persistent dull pain or bloating in the right upper abdomen may be seen in viral hepatitis, liver abscess or primary liver cancer.

3. Jaundice accompanied by mild to moderate liver enlargement, soft texture or medium hardness, and smooth surface is seen in viral hepatitis, acute biliary tract infection or biliary obstruction. Obvious enlargement of the liver, hard texture, uneven surface and nodules are seen in primary or secondary liver cancer. Mild enlargement of the liver with a hard texture, irregular edges, and small nodules on the surface is seen in cirrhosis.

4. Jaundice accompanied by enlarged gallbladder indicates obstruction of the common bile duct, which is common in pancreatic head cancer, ampullary cancer, common bile duct cancer, etc.

5. Jaundice with splenomegaly can be seen in viral hepatitis, leptospirosis, sepsis, malaria, portal or biliary cirrhosis, hemolytic anemia caused by various reasons, and lymphoma.

6. Jaundice accompanied by gastrointestinal bleeding can be seen in cirrhosis, severe hepatitis, and ampullary cancer.
