The physical health of children is an issue that parents are very concerned about. If the child has any abnormal physical condition, parents will definitely be very worried and don’t know how to deal with it. In fact, parents can learn more about common children’s diseases, so that they will know how to deal with them in time if their children have various symptoms. Some children may have symptoms of protruding ribs, so how should we deal with such symptoms? Sunbathing 1. Remember to bask in the sun every day, not through the glass. 2. Walking in the sun more often is beneficial to the synthesis of vitamin D and promotes absorption. Calcium supplementation (1) Do not take calcium supplements with plant-based foods because they contain high levels of phytic acid, which can affect calcium absorption; (2) Calcium supplements should not be taken with fatty foods. The fatty acids generated by the decomposition of fats are not easily absorbed when combined with calcium. (3) Do not eat too much meat or eggs at each meal. They contain a lot of phosphate, which will affect calcium absorption when combined with calcium. (5) Calcium supplementation dosage. Generally, children under 2 years old need 400-600 mg per day, and children aged 3-12 years old need 800-1000 mg per day. According to a normal diet, children only get 2/3 of the calcium they need from food every day, so they must take extra calcium supplements every day to make up for the lack of calcium. If a child lacks vitamin D in the body, the ability of the intestine to absorb calcium will be reduced. The preventive dose of vitamin D is 400 international units per day. Do not take too much, otherwise it will cause poisoning. (6) Eat more foods that are high in calcium or can promote calcium absorption. For example: milk (human milk, cow's milk, goat's milk, etc.) is rich in calcium and can be absorbed well; animal liver, egg yolk, fish, meat and beans are rich in vitamin D, which can promote calcium absorption. However, vitamin D in animals and plants must be converted into endogenous vitamin D through ultraviolet radiation before it can be used by the human body, so children should get some sun exposure. Seafood such as kelp and shrimp skin are high in calcium; seaweed and cauliflower are also rich in calcium. Eating broad beans with the skin can improve calcium absorption; adding bones to vinegar to make soup can increase calcium, and refined vinegar spareribs are also rich in calcium; deep-frying fish and eating it with bones can increase calcium content, etc. If breastfeeding mothers often eat these calcium-rich foods, they can increase the calcium content of breast milk and supplement calcium for babies. For infants and children, they should often eat these calcium-rich foods to increase calcium. In the above article, we introduced a symptom that children are prone to, that is, protruding ribs. Faced with such a symptom, parents must be very worried. In fact, the main reason for children's protruding ribs should be calcium deficiency. Parents can refer to the methods we introduced above for treatment. |
