For shallow fungi, this area is rich in nutrients and provides ideal living conditions. Therefore, tinea pedis is a common disease among adults and is easily contagious to others. Tinea pedis is mostly transmitted through contact, such as the patient's shoes and socks, foot towels, bath towels, bathtubs, bedding, etc.

Children's skin is thin and tender, with less keratin

The sweat glands are not yet fully developed, which is not conducive to the growth and reproduction of superficial fungi, and the chance of infection is relatively small, so tinea pedis is not common in children.
