How to care for a child's anal rupture

How to care for a child's anal rupture

Sometimes, due to various reasons, newborns are prone to red anus. In fact, this requires considering whether the usual protective measures are not done well. So how should we care for a baby with a broken anus?

There are many reasons for the redness of the anus of a newborn, such as excessive force when wiping, or infrequent changes of diapers. It doesn’t matter, just use some Johnson's diaper cream or erythromycin eye ointment.

Pay attention to the cleanliness of diapers. Diapers must be cleaned after they are changed. If there is dirt on the diaper, you need to use a soap or laundry detergent with a low alkalinity to wash it, and then wash it several times with clean water to completely remove the alkaline traces, otherwise it will irritate the skin of the buttocks. After cleaning, scald the diaper with boiling water, wring it out and dry it in the sun to achieve the purpose of disinfection and sterilization.

In addition, after each bowel movement, wash the buttocks with clean water to keep the area clean. When the skin is red, especially when it is broken, do not wash it with soap to avoid local irritation. To treat red buttocks, tannic acid ointment can be applied locally; if the skin is broken and oozing, zinc oxide oil can be applied to help absorption and promote epithelial growth. As long as you pay attention to taking good care of the skin on your buttocks during treatment, the redness on your buttocks will improve soon.
