Beware of seven symptoms of baby's developmental delay and detect it early

After the baby is born, parents are most concerned about whether their development is normal. The following are the growth and development characteristics of babies at different ages. Parents can judge the baby's development based on these characteristics.

1. During the neonatal period, children usually sleep for about 20-22 hours. If they have poor sleep, cry easily, or are easily startled, they may have hypoxia or ischemic encephalopathy. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.

2. Normal babies can lift their heads at 2-3 months old. If their heads are still unstable at 3 months old, they should seek medical attention immediately.

3. When a child is 4 months old, he or she will clench his or her fists and retract his or her thumbs, which is normal. If the thumbs are still retracted and the child does not actively grab toys after 4 months, he or she may be developing behind schedule.

At 4 to 6 months, babies should learn to sit up straight and stand on their own without tiptoes touching the ground (i.e. tiptoeing). During the 3-6 month period, babies should learn to roll over. If this standard is not met, seek medical attention immediately.

Around 5 to 8 months, the baby gradually learns to crawl on his belly. If the baby moves less and cannot crawl on his belly, it should be taken seriously.

Babies around 6 or 10 months old generally learn to crawl on all fours, that is, crawling on their knees and supporting themselves with their hands; if they fail to meet the standard, it is recommended to see a doctor.

7. Babies aged 11-12 months can stand and walk with support; most babies will learn to walk within 12-15 months; if you find that your baby lags behind other children of the same age in standing and walking, you should seek medical attention in time.
