Why do children not eat?

Anyone who has parenting experience should know that children don’t like to eat when they are young. They usually don’t eat when it is time for dinner, but they eat all kinds of snacks at other times. Some babies don't eat when they first start eating complementary foods. They usually only drink breast milk. Of course, it may be that they are not used to complementary foods. What is the reason for children not eating? Why do most children not want to eat?

If a child often skips meals, he or she may have anorexia. Skipping meals will lead to malnutrition in children, so parents must find ways to get their children to eat more, otherwise it will be detrimental to their healthy growth. But how can you get your children to eat well?

The common understanding is that children with good appetite regard eating as a pleasure and want to eat when the time comes. Children with poor appetite are tired of eating and regard eating as a burden. They have no interest in even delicious food. This eating state is called anorexia. What is the reason why children don’t eat? If anorexia lasts for a long time, it will affect the normal growth of children’s height and weight, which is called anorexia.

First of all, maintain a proper diet. Develop good eating habits. Animal foods contain more zinc, and a certain proportion must be maintained in the diet. In addition, you can increase zinc intake by adding 1g of zinc sulfate to 100g of table salt to bring zinc intake to the standard amount (about 10mg per day), which can increase appetite. If you have chronic diseases and malnutrition, you must cure them as soon as possible. The following points should be noted in the psychological correction of children's anorexia:

1. Set a good example for your children. Facts show that if parents are picky eaters or have a partial diet, their children are likely to be anorexic.

2. Pay attention to guidance. When children do not want to eat a certain food, adults should consciously and step by step guide them to taste this food, neither giving in without principles nor forcing them too much.

3. Create a good dining atmosphere. Make your child eat in a happy mood.

4. Do not use tonics and supplements to make up for your child’s nutritional deficiencies. Instead, patiently explain the taste and nutritional value of various foods.

What is the reason why children don’t eat? It can be seen that there are many reasons why children are unwilling to eat. Parents must find ways to make their children listen to you when they let them eat. In addition, children should develop regular eating habits from an early age, so it is very important for parents to educate their children from an early age.
